The events industry accounts for nearly 10% of global carbon emissions. That’s one reason sustainability can’t just be something teams assess after an event is over. Kelly Power, EVP, Client Experience & Sustainability, shared a few of the principles that have shaped how Proof approaches sustainability in events. → Build sustainability into the brief → Make it part of vendor selection → Start small, but meaningful Swipe through for Kelly’s take → Source: Carbommark 2026.

Tomorrow, we bring an idea Jeffrey Hermann and Hermann Services, Inc. has been working on for a long time to life. I’m incredibly excited for the first Hermann Sustainability Summit, taking place September 17–18 in New Brunswick, NJ. Sustainability in transportation is no longer something we can talk about as being years away. The decisions are happening now — in our fleets, at our ports, within our customers’ supply chains, and in boardrooms. At Hermann, we’ve experienced firsthand both the opportunity and the complexity of this transition. Building what we believe is New Jersey’s largest electric commercial vehicle fleet has taught us that there is no single answer. Electrification, alternative fuels, infrastructure, funding, technology, data and policy all have a role to play. That is exactly why we created this Summit. Over the next two days, we’re bringing together leaders from across the entire ecosystem to have real conversations about what is working, what isn’t, and what comes next. We’ll be discussing everything from electrification and alternative fuels to infrastructure, clean-technology funding, Scope 3 emissions, total cost of ownership, and what the next generation expects from our industry. I’m extremely proud of our Hermann team for everything they have done to make this event happen, and incredibly grateful to our partners, sponsors, speakers, panelists and attendees who believed in what we are trying to create. Tomorrow, it begins. I can’t wait to see everyone in New Brunswick. #HermannSustainabilitySummit #HermannServices #Sustainability #Transportation #Logistics #SupplyChain #Electrification #CleanTransportation

“For me, sustainable production means continuously developing processes further. Every improvement in energy or resource efficiency makes us more future-proof.” With this thought, Tobias Irouschek, Head of Maintenance, describes an important building block of sustainable industry. When sustainability is discussed, the focus is often on products or technologies. But many changes begin elsewhere: in production processes, infrastructure, and technical facilities. This is precisely where continuous improvements lay the foundation for long-term developments. Whether modern energy infrastructure, efficient equipment, or investments in future-proof production processes – every optimization helps us use resources more consciously and strengthen competitiveness over the long term. For us, sustainable development therefore also means making industry a little better every day. Sustainability creates the most value when it is embedded in how companies innovate. In Financial Times' Sustainable Views, our President & CEO Helen Mets argues that sustainability and business performance aren't competing objectives and explains why business as usual carries costs of its own. At Ahlstrom, we focus on making our solutions Safe and Sustainable by Design. Safe and Sustainable by Design solutions now account for 66% of our net sales, and we are on track to reach 80% by 2030. Read Helen's full op-ed for an interesting perspective on how sustainability can support both innovation and long-term business performance: https://lnkd.in/enkYHKze #Sustainability #Innovation #SafeAndSustainableByDesign

Sustainability strategy is easy to write. Making it influence everyday business decisions is the hard part. That's something I've learned first-hand during my time working on sustainability at FLI Group, and it's one of the things I'll be discussing with Future Planet on 24 September. I'll be sharing some of the lessons from FLI's sustainable business journey, including how we've moved from individual initiatives towards a more structured, group-wide approach, the importance of good sustainability data, and where we've seen sustainability create real business value. I'm looking forward to an honest conversation about what works, what doesn't, and what comes next. Thanks to the team at Future Planet for the opportunity. 24 September | 1pm Irish Time | Live via Zoom Registration details are in the original post below. 👇 #Sustainability #ESG #SustainableBusiness #FLIGroup
New Event - Inside FLI’s group sustainable business journey FLI Group has been operating for decades across environmental engineering, water, remediation, and infrastructure. Their journey offers valuable lessons for companies trying to connect sustainable business strategy with everyday business decisions. As part of our 2027 readiness program, on September 24th, we're sitting down with Daniel Blanchfield, Head of Sustainability at FLI Group, for an honest conversation about what it actually takes to move from fragmented action to a strategy that delivers real business value. Daniel will share: 🔹 How FLI brought ambition and scattered initiatives into one clear strategy 🔹 Why sustainability data needs to move with the business, not sit as an annual snapshot 🔹 Lessons from engaging 300+ suppliers 🔹 Where the commercial value has actually shown up 📅 Sept 24, 1pm (Irish Time) 🔗 Register: https://lnkd.in/e2ZV7H2m #Sustainability #ESG #SustainableBusiness
