Luis M. Montilla presents at CRIS2026 on grant linking system

Our colleague Luis M. Montilla will be at #CRIS2026. The event will be held at the University of the Azores in Ponta Delgada, Portugal later this month, and he'll present on May 20 at 10:45 am (Session 1.2) on how open, persistent funding #metadata from the Crossref Grant Linking System can support a more transparent and complete research evaluation. We have persistent identifiers for research outputs (DOIs), researchers (ORCID), and institutions (ROR). The Crossref Grant Linking System fills the missing piece: persistent identifiers for grants. Nearly 50 funders have already joined, creating more than 199,000 open grant records with associated Crossref grant DOIs - Less manual data entry and fewer attribution errors - Funding relationships that are traceable across the research lifecycle - Metadata that supports open science and responsible research assessment commitments If you're attending, find Luis and talk to him about how your institution or funder can be part of this. https://lnkd.in/eyacPE6c #euroCRIS #grantlinking #funding
