I personally believe that, at its core, the United States has no real intention of taking Greenland—and never has. Rather, the U.S. is highly strategic and often misunderstood. By emphasizing that Greenland is part of NATO and should remain so, it is sending a clear signal to Russia and China. It’s less about acquisition and more about asserting strategic presence—barking but not biting, much like a dog marking its territory.
