40 years of European identity and unity 🇪🇺 On 29 May 1986, the European Communities, the precursor to the EU, officially raised the European flag for the first time. Today, 40 years later, it is one of the most recognisable symbols in Europe, appearing everywhere from government buildings to Eurovision stages and student exchange photos. The flag remains a powerful symbol of European cooperation, unity and shared ambition across borders. Today is an opportunity to reflect not only on a symbol, but on the people and partnerships that continue to shape Europe’s future. Where did you last spot the EU flag?
Symbols matter because they reflect shared values, history, and collective ambition. The EU flag has gradually become more than an emblem, it represents cooperation, stability, and the idea that long-term progress is stronger when built together.
Forty years after the definition of the European unity symbols, the EU flag must continue to fly with pride and honor. However, reality moves faster than strategies. Yesterday evening's incident in Galați, Romania, proves that measures must be taken with the utmost urgency and pragmatism to accelerate the immediate protection of European citizens.
We do spot the flag everyday!
40 years later, the EU flag stands as more than a symbol—it represents a rare political achievement: sustained cooperation, shared values, and unity across diverse nations. A reminder that collective ambition can outlast borders and generations. 🇪🇺
The European Union is trying to bypass the sovereignty of the single states, in the name of Bhaal. Unity? What unity, what mobility if in EU countrys such Estonia the Europeans cant work because they need to speak the local language (new law 2025) The EU is moving towards a dictatorial and total inefficient institution, with the unique objective to enslaved the sovereign states with economic and social mechanisms.
The European flag remains a powerful symbol of unity. But the challenges of this century are not the challenges of the last one. Europe’s greatest asset is not only its market, currency or institutions. It is its population. And a population cannot be protected by symbols alone. It needs health, housing, energy, water, climate resilience, technological sovereignty and human protection embedded into the infrastructures of daily life. The next European unity must be operational. Not only shared identity. Shared protection. ♟️ RR Nothing ends here.
The EU flag symbolizes unity across borders. For Cypriots, however, the reality is that our island has remained divided for 52 years. What more can Europe do to help reunite one of its own member states? European Parliament European Commission
In my opinion European Economic Community has deviated from its founding purpose. Instead of promoting peace, production, and happiness, European countries are unaware that they are disrupting the economic and social balance for the purposes of America and Israel. Remember that America and Israel do not want a strong European Community. They want a culture of war instead of a production based.

1wThe EU is becoming a dictatorial group with fascist features. The EU seeks a permanent state of war. According to Brussels, the new allowed European values = Nazism and extermination of national minorities! And what are the new forbidden European values according to Brussels = anti-immigration rhetoric, and the demand that maladjusted and illegal immigrants be removed from Europe to their mother countries!https://www.politico.eu/article/eu-watchdog-moves-ban-afd-far-right-party-over-breach-eu-values/
