“Our adaptability, focus on process and open communication with our clients has allowed us to scale to bigger projects in the Nordics.” Commissioning Manager Damien Callery has played a key role on Mercury projects in Denmark, Poland, Italy, the Netherlands and now Finland, over the last 8 years. Damien’s role is varied, and ranges from “producing reports for our client to coordination meetings with subcontractors and daily site inspections.” Key to Commissioning success is a relentless focus on process. “We follow specific processes to ensure all project equipment, cabling and pipework is completed to the highest standards before we handover to our client.” This involves “Tagging, visual inspections and checklists” which need to be followed and verified. Since starting with Mercury, Damien has learned “the importance of being honest and admitting when mistakes have been made or if you’ve found a way to improve.
