💡 Seneca Resources was featured by Staffing Industry Analysts covering the impact of the Northeast winter storm on businesses and the workforce. Our CEO Tim McPherson shared how post-Covid contingency planning and remote work capabilities have significantly reduced disruption for many organizations, including Seneca's. This is a shift that would have looked very different just a few years ago. #StaffingIndustry #WorkforceStrategy #BusinessContinuity #Leadership https://lnkd.in/eHjEQp_u

The weather here in Asheville has gone between 15 degrees and 70 in the same week. Sounds a lot like leadership swings. Parents and business leaders alike spike often spike when frustrated. We go cold when we're drained. We overcorrect when the consequences finally show up, and then we wonder why the culture in our home or business doesn't stabilize. I've made that mistake as much as the next guy. A sovereign family isn't built in the moments when you finally lose it. It's built in every ordinary moment before that. Same thing in the workplace. Know what all of the weather changing in Asheville didn't change? The temp in my house. The thermostat keeps it stable. It doesn't oscillate between too hot and too cold to hold an average. It just stays consistent. That's what sovereign authority actually looks like in practice. It's a consistent standard so that the people around you stop bracing for the next weather event and start building inside a stable environment. Perfect isn't possible, but predictable is. #SovereignFamily #LeadershipFormation #SovereignWorkspace #IdentityOverEmotion

Foundation cracks are more than cosmetic—they're structural warnings. In Colorado's shifting soils, ignoring them risks costly damage. For business owners, this mirrors operational "cracks"—small inefficiencies that grow. Early professional assessment is key. It determines if you need a quick process fix or a strategic overhaul. Proactive repair protects your most valuable assets: your property and your business health. #BusinessStrategy #RiskManagement #OperationalExcellence #Leadership #AssetProtection https://lnkd.in/dedfZP_4

The “Irreplaceable” Trap A mill owner once had a donkey that worked tirelessly every single day. To motivate him, the owner placed a golden saddle on the donkey and proudly declared, “You are the hardest-working donkey in this mill. You are irreplaceable.” The donkey felt proud. He lifted his head, straightened his back, and believed he was no ordinary beast. From that day on, he worked even harder. He carried heavier loads. He worked longer hours. Even when he was sick or exhausted, he kept pushing himself - afraid of losing the title of being irreplaceable. One day, the donkey collapsed from exhaustion. The owner walked over, removed the golden saddle, and quietly placed it on another young donkey. The mill continued running. This story is not about blaming organizations or questioning loyalty. Dedication and commitment are valuable qualities. But it reminds us of something important. No one should have to sacrifice their health, balance, or dignity just to prove their worth at work. Sustainable success comes from environments where people are supported, respected, and encouraged to perform at their best, without burning out. Great organizations are not built on exhausted heroes. They are built on healthy teams, supportive leadership, and cultures that value people as much as performance. #Leadership #WorkplaceCulture #PeopleFirst #EmployeeWellbeing #Management

After months of focused work, Stratego Crisis Management is now live. This is not just a website launch. It is the foundation of a structured approach to crisis leadership for organizations operating in increasingly complex environments. Over the past period, I have been developing: • The CEO Guide to Crisis Leadership • The Visual Handbook for Crisis Leadership • A structured framework for decision-making under pressure All built on one core reality: In a real crisis, plans do not make decisions. Leaders do. The purpose of Stratego is to support CEOs, leadership teams, and organizations in strengthening their ability to make the right decisions — when it actually matters. The platform will continue to evolve in the coming weeks, with further optimization and additional content being implemented. For now, this marks an important milestone. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/g8Vt_bPx If you work with crisis management, preparedness, or leadership — I would value your perspective. Leadership from the Heart💗 The Power of "The Huddle": How 16 States Reversed a Crisis In leadership, we often talk about "Alignment," but we rarely see it executed across 10,000 miles of coastline. I was recently inspired by an article in Audubon Magazine regarding the recovery of the American Oystercatcher. It is a masterclass in Heart-Centered Leadership. For decades, this species was declining due to habitat loss and fragmentation. The breakthrough came when 35 organizations across 16 states, spanning the entire Atlantic and Gulf Coasts from Maine to Texas, decided to stop working in silos. By forming a unified Working Group, they created a state of Coherence that allowed the population to rebound by over 43%. Why this matters for our "Field": • Universal Frequency: When we align our efforts, the collective "Frequency" of our work rises. We move from fragmented effort to a unified, powerful vibration of success. • The Architect’s View: These agencies looked past state borders to see the "Living Temple" of the entire ecosystem. • Collaborative Impact: This success proves that when we join together, we can tackle crises that seem insurmountable to any one individual or state. I’m sharing this today because it’s important to acknowledge the unglamorous, coordinated work that makes the world a better place. When the "Working Group" is In Sync, the trend line always reverses. #LeadershipFromTheHeart #SystemsThinking #ConservationSuccess #FutureAndField #Coherence #StrategicAlignment #AudubonSociety

Pressure is the default setting in leadership right now. Staff shortages. Burnout. Talent walking out the door. Families expecting more. Margins tightening. In senior living, this isn’t abstract, it’s daily reality. In my conversation with Mike Traub, former VP of Ops at Riverstone Retirement Communities, he pointed out an uncomfortable truth: you don't build resilient organizations by chasing profit. Residents, staff, and families aren’t part of the business… they are the business. You build resilient organizations by taking care of people. If we get that right, performance follows. #Leadership #SeniorLiving #HealthcareLeadership

Panicking early can be an advantage. When you anticipate problems before they hit, you have time to think clearly and act rationally, while others are still reacting. The leaders who navigate uncertainty best don’t avoid panic. They prepare early, so they never truly panic later. Three simple practices: • Anticipate issues • Think through them in advance • Act deliberately when the moment comes That’s the counterintuitive advantage of panicking early.
