Hands-on science, once again with MiSeq™ i100 Plus!
On September 8–9, young scientists gathered at the Koç University Translational Medicine Research Center (KUTTAM) for a two-day workshop that combined theory and practice.
From sample prep and QC to sequencing on the Illumina MiSeq i100 Plus, participants experienced genomics in action. These interactive programs bring tomorrow’s researchers closer to the technologies shaping the future. 🌟

Bioinformaticians generate massive amounts of data, but how do we transform that into insights that truly guide healthcare?
This challenge framed the discussions at the TÜSEB ( Health Institutes of Türkiye ) Genomic Sequencing Data Workshop. As Illumina’s channel partner, we presented the innovations powering next-gen sequencing: XLEAP-SBS chemistry, patterned flow cells, ExAmp amplification, and Constellation technology.
👉 A key moment was the live Emedgene demo by Silvia García Lezcano , showing how advanced analytics can unravel even the most complex variants like STRs and repeat expansions.
