March Towards an Accident-Free Society Organized By NSS Club

The NSS Club of our college took a commendable step forward in promoting safety awareness by organizing a special program titled "March Towards an Accident-Free Society" during the NSS Club Hour. The event aimed at instilling a sense of responsibility and safety among students and the community, emphasizing the importance of cautious behavior on roads and public spaces.

The session began with a powerful speech by the NSS Program Officer, highlighting the alarming statistics of road accidents in our country and the urgent need for awareness. Volunteers presented thought-provoking skits and short talks that illustrated the devastating impact of reckless driving, over-speeding, and the negligence of safety rules. The message was loud and clear: most accidents are preventable, and it begins with each individual’s commitment to safety.

Students also took an oath to follow traffic rules diligently, wear helmets and seat belts, avoid mobile phone usage while driving, and actively educate others about safe practices. The interactive session that followed saw active participation from us, who shared personal stories and suggestions to promote road safety within and outside campus.

This program wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support and encouragement of SNS College Of Engineering, whose unwavering commitment to community welfare and student development continues to inspire. We sincerely thank the management of our college for providing a platform to spread such crucial awareness and for nurturing socially responsible citizens.

By participating in the road safety rally, I have learnt more about the importance of following traffic rules and being a responsible road user. The rally highlighted key safety measures such as wearing helmets and seat belts, avoiding mobile phone use while driving, and obeying traffic signals. It also made me aware of the consequences of reckless driving and the value of spreading awareness to others. Overall, the experience was both educational and inspiring, encouraging me to contribute to making our roads safer for everyone.
