A Journey of Growth, One Conversation at a Time - 🎙️ Ever had a moment when you look back and realize how much you’ve grown—not just professionally, but personally? Hosting the 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 has been one of those experiences for me. Every episode has been a deep dive into the minds of leaders who’ve navigated their own shifts. And honestly, after each conversation, I walked away with more than just insights—I gained a new perspective on what it means to truly embrace change. Reflecting on this journey, I’m reminded that growth doesn’t come from staying in our comfort zones. It comes from stepping into the unknown, learning continuously, and connecting with others who can guide us along the way. These aren’t just themes I’ve observed—they’re lessons I’ve felt deeply after every episode. Here are the 𝐭𝐨𝐩 3 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬 that have really stood out: 1. 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞: Change is inevitable, and how we respond is key. Our guests highlighted the importance of embracing change with courage, whether it’s planned or unexpected. 💪🌟 𝐓𝐢𝐩: Ask yourself, "What’s the worst that could happen?" Often, the potential rewards are worth the risk. 🚀 2. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: In a constantly evolving world, staying still isn’t an option. Our guests emphasized the need to keep learning and stay curious. 📚🌍 𝐓𝐢𝐩: Dedicate time each week to learn something new, no matter how small. It keeps you growing and relevant. 🔄 3. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩: Mentorship is about building connections that guide your career. It’s been a pivotal element for many of our guests, both as mentors and mentees. 🤝✨ 𝐓𝐢𝐩: Seek out a mentor for guidance, and if you can, offer mentorship to others. It’s mutually beneficial. 🌱 I’ve taken these powerful themes and distilled them —𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 3 Tips from each episode. It’s a quick, actionable guide to help you apply these lessons to your own career journey. Whether you’re considering a career shift, looking for inspiration, or just curious about how others navigate change, this carousel has something for you. Stay Connected—The Journey Has Just Begun! If you’ve enjoyed the podcast, there's a lot more to come: New Guests, New Stories, and more. Stay Tuned! That career you keep dreaming about while scrolling at 11pm? It won't happen by accident. In this week's podcast episode, I'm sharing my very own 'Career Design Matrix' The tool I use with all my clients, to close the gap between where you are now and where you actually want to be. It's ridiculously simple: → Draw a cross on a piece of paper. → Fill in four sections: Behaviours, Skills, People, Experiences. → Start with just ONE thing in each section that you need to do to make your ideal career a reality. ✅ Behaviours — How does your future self show up differently? Does she speak up? Set boundaries without guilt? ✅ Skills — Be specific. Not "leadership" but "facilitating difficult conversations without breaking a sweat." ✅ People — Who you need to know, and who you might need to distance yourself from. (Not everyone is meant for your next chapter.) ✅ Experiences — What will stretch you and prove you can do this? Throughout my podcast episode, I walk through real examples from women who've used this to completely transform their careers. Including one woman who went from corporate banking to leading diversity at a startup. Listen to Episode 14 of the "Seen Heard Valued Podcast" wherever you get yours. And then? Grab a piece of paper and get started. ---------- 👋 Hi, I'm Aimee Bateman. I help women leaders build the careers they deserve. I launched something today that I wish had existed two years ago. When I was transitioning from Software Engineer to Business Analyst, I spent countless hours trying to understand Product Management. I'd read articles full of jargon, listen to podcasts featuring VPs talking strategy from 10,000 feet up, but I couldn't find anyone just... explaining the basics. So I created it. Today, I'm launching "Product with Sai" - a podcast breaking down Product Management for professionals making the transition. Episode 1 is live: "What Actually IS Product Management?" In 10 minutes, I cover: - What PMs actually do day-to-day (beyond the buzzwords) - How PM differs from BA, Project Manager, and Designer roles - Whether you can transition regardless of your background (you can) - What it means to lead without direct authority This podcast is for: → Business Analysts exploring the PM path → Software Engineers who want to move beyond just coding → Anyone on a work visa navigating career transitions → Professionals who are tired of vague advice and want practical steps I'm a BA actively transitioning to PM. I'm not a VP at a FAANG company giving you theory - I'm in the trenches, figuring this out in real time. And I'm sharing everything I learn. New episodes every Monday. Short format (10-15 minutes). No gatekeeping. Just real talk. 🎙️ Listen on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/ghUD3nXQ If you've been curious about Product Management or you're making a career transition, I'd love to have you join me on this journey. #ProductManagement #CareerTransition #ProductManager #CareerDevelopment #BusinessAnalyst #SoftwareEngineering #WorkVisa #ProfessionalDevelopment #Podcast
