Slender citrine crystals from Bouismas, Bou Azzer. The tips of most of the crystals show a Dauphiné habit and - as often seen with this habit - the backsides of the crystals are roughened by tiny mineral grains that precipitated on the faces. The crystals are quite dark for their size and I have backlit some of them to show their yellow color. In polarized light one can observe the dichroism typical for citrine.
Size of the specimen 76 x 41mm.
