Såklart kom Mika på att om vi är i Tennessee måste vi ju till Graceland, självklart är jag på men vi bestämde då att vi skippar Nashville och kör Memphis istället. Så Kartan ser lite annorlunda ut från igår.
Vi tänkte besöka:
Beale Street. Från 1920-talet till 1940-talet, spelade Louis Armstrong, Muddy Waters, Memphis Minnie, BB King och andra blues och jazzlegender på Beale Street och hjälpte till att utveckla stil som kallas Memphis Blues.
Sun studios där blues och R & B artister som Howlin ’Wolf, Junior Parker, Little Milton, BB King och James Cotton registreras det i början av 1950-talet. Rock and roll, countrymusik, och rockabilly artister, bland annat Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis spelade in sin musik där frånmitten till slutet av 1950-talet fram till studion växe ur bygnaden påUnion Avenue.
Graceland är en herrgård med5,6 hektar land i Memphis, Tennessee som var hem till Elvis Presley och hans familj. Detligger på 3764 Elvis Presley Boulevard. Det är för närvarande ett museum. Det öppnades för allmänheten den 7 juni 1982. Graceland har blivit ett av de mest besökta privata hemmen i USA med över 600.000 besökare per år.
Lorrain Motel / National Civil Rights Museum är ett komplex av museer och historiska byggnader där man visar historien om medborgarrättsrörelsen i USA från 16-talet till idag. Museet är uppbyggt kring det som tidigare var Lorraine Motel, där Pastor Martin Luther King mördades den 4 april 1968.
Man skulle nästan vilja gå i kyrkan en av Söndagarna och uppleva Gospel på plats.
