OneGate FAQ
What is OneGate?
OneGate is a completely secure online application provided by the National Bank of Belgium to reporting agents and reporting entities. The application allows users to complete and submit forms online or upload files.
Access to OneGate
Go to the login page for the application.
Please consult this guide.
Note: It is also possible to connect to OneGate via CSAM, using either a Belgian electronic identity card or the itsme® application. To do so, please follow the procedure described here.
How can I connect to OneGate with an electronic certificate?
OneGate recognises certificates issued by Globalsign, Isabel, Quo Vadis and LuxTrust.
These certificates can be purchased from the following providers:
Globalsign
Currently accepted certificates:
✓ GlobalSign GCC R45 PersonalSign 3 CA 2020
✓ GlobalSign GCC R45 PersonalSign 3 CA 2022
Isabel
Currently accepted certificates:
✓ Isabel Certification Authority
✓ Isabel Certification Authority Root
Logging in to OneGate via the Isabel card will remain possible until the end of 2027. Please keep your Isabel card handy for this purpose.
However, Isakeys are not compatible with OneGate.
More information can be found on Isabel’s website.
Quo Vadis
Currently accepted certificates:
✓ QuoVadis Belgium Issuing CA G2
✓ DigiCert QuoVadis G3 Qualified BE CA1
✓ QuoVadis EU Issuing Certification Authority G4
LuxTrust SmartCard
Currently accepted certificates:
✓ LuxTrust SmartCard Global Qualified CA
The provider issues an electronic certificate after payment and authentication by the applicant. It is therefore necessary to retrieve the certificate in person with your ID card.
When logging in to OneGate, choose “Identification with an electronic certificate” and select the appropriate certificate.
When logging in for the first time, the user will be asked to provide additional information, namely an identification code (CBE number). Access will be granted in the coming hours and confirmed by email.
If the certificate has already been registered and is valid, the user will gain access immediately.
If you use the same certificate for another Bank application (BECRIS, Supervision, CAP2), you can use the same identifying information (NUIN starting with 0002/3/5/7-) to connect to OneGate.
Registered OneGate users should follow this procedure to re-authenticate themselves.
Since 2022, it has been possible to connect to OneGate through CSAM, the secure online portal for Belgian government services. This system is used for federal government applications such as Intervat, Finprof, Dimona and DMFA.
In addition, you can now manage your accesses and those of your employees using “My eGov role management”.
For more information, please see our web page on this subject. Further details can be found on the CSAM site.
If your OneGate Admin role does not appear after completing step 3 (“Role selection”) on My eGov role management, make sure you have access to the economy domain at Socialsecurity.be.
Users with a CSAM ID should contact [email protected], indicating their CSAM ID (B-000XXX), the LEI code and the requested environment (test or production).
If you would like to use CSAM to access the OneGate test environment and your company is not registered in the Belgian Social Security test environment, you will first need to send an e-mail requesting registration.
Upon receipt of confirmation that your company has been registered, please follow the steps below:
- Activate your digital keys (first connection with an eID card reader)
- Assign the OneGate Admin role
- Create users in OneGate based on their national number: https://a-onegate.nbb.be
Users who do not have a Belgian ID card can log in with
- an electronic certificate or
- electronic identification means recognised at European level (eIDAS)
Third-party reporting entities
OneGate allows reporting entities to authorise a third party, such as an accounting firm, a tax representative or a person responsible for a VAT unit, to complete their reporting obligations on their behalf.
If you have already logged in to OneGate via CSAM or with an electronic certificate, you can request a new access using your OneGate credentials.
Click on “Request new access” to link access for another company or a VAT unit to your access credentials.
The request is received by both the Bank and the OneGate access administrator of the company in question.
The company’s access administrator must approve the request. If no access manager has been appointed, please contact [email protected].
- If you log in with CSAM, you can delegate access to a third party with the OneGate User Management Module (CSAM).
- If you log in with an electronic certificate, please complete this form and send it to the OneGate Access Management Team. They will follow up on your request.
Browser compatibility
OneGate is compatible with the following operating systems and browsers:
- Windows: Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome and Opera.
- Linux: Mozilla Firefox, Chrome and Opera.
- Mac: Mozilla Firefox and Safari.
We cannot guarantee proper functioning of the application on other browsers.
