Recently our school is facing many discipline problems such as smoking, stealing,
fighting and truancy. It is very important for the school to be aware of the problem and take
action to tackle these problems. This report will address these problems in further detail.
Smoking is one of the discipline problems that is currently on the rise. Many students
were found smoking in the washroom on the 5th floor, and there have been reports of
students selling cigarettes to the younger students. These students have been warned
numerous times, yet they have defied this warning.
Besides that, Stealing has also been a major discipline issue in our school. Countless
watches, wallets, calculators or even mobile phones have been reported missing. According
to our analysis, we strongly believe that these incidents usually occur when there is no one
in class, such as during recess or when the students have PE at the field or during lab or
library sessions.
Furthermore, fighting has unfortunately become a frequent occurrence as a result of the
formation of gangs in school. The destructive behaviour does not only cause injuries, but
also damages school property.
In this relation, bullying is also a common problem faced by the younger students. While
some students skip school due to bullying, there are also students who like to skip lessons
that they dislike. On top of that, truancy has become a serious problem in school. Currently,
more and more students are being peer pressured to play truant as it seems like the "cool"
thing to do.
These discipline problems, if not combated, will result in more serious social problems.
Therefore, I urge the school to take immediate action to overcome these problems.
There are several ways to counter and prevent these problems. First and foremost is
to meet up with the school counsellors. School counselling contributes to a large factor in the
decrease in crime rates as students are being persuaded.
On top of that, schools ought to set stricter punishments such as warning, suspension,
expulsion or so, towards the ones who don’t behave properly. This is an effective way to
urge students from committing such major and unnecessary discipline mistakes. Moreover,
both students and teachers should be involved in constant monitoring of their behaviour.
This would give both parties precise details on how childrens or teens behave.
Lastly, the cooperation of all parties is necessary to solve the discipline problems faced
in school. More conducive environments would also bring an enormous effect towards both
teens and childrens too. That's all for now, Thankyou for your time and attention, have a nice
day!
