Hockey skates have more support and figure skates require more balance

Hockey skates are curved . You can basically run on them . Figure skates are flat , with short edges at the front you can't skate on . There's a balance sweet spot in the middle of the skate you need to balance on. Figure skates requires more balance

I actually love the toe pic. I can't do hockey skates. I can never get them tight enough

Omg that's so real 😭 I did figure skating and hockey at the same time and when I was first starting out I always got the techniques mixed up lmao

Learned to skate on hockey skates then got figure skates because felt they were more feminine..... hardest thing everrrr hahah different place of balance the lot!

Ok I got that now teach me how to get balance bc that's the reason I can't do neither on the long run
