Free WH40K Sororitas-themed TTRPG

I enjoyed the writing on this. And speaking of WH40K:

To get the vibe of 40k imagine this guy is aiming at an orphan guilty of wrong!think while travelling on a spaceship achieving ftl by taking a detour through hell.

The Astartes short films are great

Not sure why I never watched this before, but it's great and clearly strongly inspired the Secret Level short. Here's an interview with the creator about the project. Games Workshop embraced the project, and the second series has been teased.

Good teleporting effect on this Warhammer 40K Necron miniature

@elminiaturista Necron warrior teleport in action. The painting process of the pixel matrix and the non metallic reflection against the armor. Hope you find it interesting . . #warhammer40k #warhammer #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer #paintingminiatures ♬ War Pigs - T-Pain

A couple other simple hobby ideas--making a damaged road and a pile of dynamite:

@khaotic_loki AAAAAAAA. I’ve not posted in a while. But here’s an absurdly simple way to paint a road base. You could probably do more with it, but I did it to showcase how EASY it is. You could add some swampy things around the edges now I think about it. Not sure who’s going to end up on the base, potentially the mandalorian. But I need to paint that mini first. I’ve spent a LOT of time trying to learn NMM over the last week or so and haven’t filmed any of it. But I’ll throw some more basing tips your way as soon as I can. #warhammer #warhammercommunity #minipainting #art #miniature ♬ original sound - Loki

decided to replace 3 of the Alpha models for the kit; i'm leaving out the ones with underslung weapons to do in a future kit dedicated to that, and adding laser pistol variations for the melee weapons instead

How to paint a wargaming base that looks like crackling lava

@timeforhobby Let's do step-by-step crackle Lava base. Starting with white base, then yellow and red. Finally apply crackle pasta and drybrush it with black to make even more contrast. Free Warhammer 40K TTRPG focusing on servants

Zedeck Siew:

I keep trying to write fan TTRPGs for 40K.

The first was Paper Route, also set on a giant flying cathedral of a spaceship. I never finished it. It was called “Paper Route” because the ship was cargo hauler, transporting a planet’s worth of office paper. There were orks with origami guns, and paper-wasp tyranids, and eldar scooped up alongside a whole forest.

Where my mind was at with Paper Route was: “40K should be funny.”

The second 40K TTRPG thing I made was for Kieron Gillen / Rowan Rook & Decard’s DIE RPG. It was an adventure called “POWERSWORD PURGATORY”—a bunch of 30-year-olds, former regulars at ye-olde-FLGS, get Jumanji-ed into POWERSWORD (ie: not-Warhammer 40K) for one last hurrah.

With “POWERSWORD” I was trying to work through how I felt about the fandom, and 40K’s place in culture now. Its drift from Thatcher-era DIY nihilism to corporate-IP neatness; its earnest embrace of “xenophobia is justified actually” power fantasies.

CHAPTER SERF is my third attempt. And my strongest, maybe?
