This company fraudulently deducts sessions from your account and their customer service is non existent. They scheduled a session I didn’t request and didn’t inform me. When I found out by logging into the portal, they said I couldn’t cancel within 48 hours. I do not recommend this company.

I am extremely disappointed with the management at Revolution Prep. They recently scheduled a new session on my behalf without my approval or confirmation, and are now insisting on charging me for it because I didn't provide "48-hour notice" to cancel a session I never agreed to.

Even worse is the double standard: the company cancelled a session on us with only 45 minutes' notice last week, yet they demand 48 hours from parents. To add to the frustration, their team was a no-show for a previously confirmed session, yet there has been zero accountability on their end. Between the frequent tutor turnover and the rigid, one-sided customer service, I cannot recommend this service. They seem more interested in protecting their billing than in the student’s success or fair business practices.

As a public school teacher, I have been extremely pleased with how responsive and adaptive both David Zimbalist and our tutor, Faith Rogers, have been while working with our daughter to prepare for AP Calculus. They take learning seriously and make every effort to connect solid tutors with specific clients and adapt to their learning needs.

We were very pleased with Revolution Prep for SAT and general subject specific academic tutoring . David Zimbalist was able to perfectly match our son with an SAT tutor, Cheryl Lambert. Cheryl worked through high level material and strategies to help our son improve his score and test taking strategies. Communication was excellent and each hour was time used wisely and efficiently.
In addition, Ben Chamberlain has also been a great help in AB Calculus. He has been super helpful and knowledgeable.
If you are in need of short or long term tutoring for standardized tests or general academic subjects, I’d highly recommend Revolution Prep.

Once you are signed up and paid, they are absent and unhelpful. So it seems to be money spinner.

Session canceled with no notice
My child took a practice ACT through Revolution Prep, got his test scores immediately after taking it, and I had a score review appointment 6 days later. Fully intending on scheduling follow up tutor sessions after the review.
I logged in to get prepared and my session was canceled.
Their reasons were:
1. intake information was not filled out. BUT there was nothing in the online account to fill out AND if they had notified us sooner my child could have filled it out.
2. The test was incomplete. What?!?! The test was scored. My child was given a practice ACT score. WELL if your child doesn’t answer all the questions they will consider your test incomplete and they will cancel your appt.
After all this, I tried to get an appt to review before kiddo spent more time on another test and they kept saying NO. Turns out he did not use his accommodations and ran out of time in the test. Proctor told them to complete as many questions as possible.

Update: I was able to get an appt with an advisor through my education benefits and she was awesome! Turns out my child should be taking the SAT anyway. And she said on the ACT the kids should finish ll the questions even if they have to guess.

My son had a scheduled tutoring session that was canceled solely on Revolution prep’s end and failed to notify me. It was only when I logged into the website at the scheduled time to find out the link disappeared. No email, nothing! My son is very upset as he was looking forward to the tutoring session. We planned our day around it but to find out Revolution prep canceled it. The way how it was handled was so unprofessional and they just lost a customer forever. My daughter uses Varsity and never had an issue like this. I hope the owner sees this and comes up with some sort of corrective action.

We have never before hired a tutor for our kids, but as educators ourselves, we know how much success on standardized tests like the ACT can depend on familiarity with test questions and format. Additionally, we worried about how our son's anxiety would hinder his test performance if he didn't spend some time practicing and building up his confidence. As a result, and after recommendations from friends, we decided to work with Revolution Test Prep.

Shawn Kane worked with our son over the course of 24 sessions, and we saw his confidence in himself grow immensely. He loved working with Shawn (she is warm, friendly, and supportive!), and he ended up raising his ACT score by 4 points--surpassing our son's goal for himself. We recommend Revolution and Shawn highly and are incredibly grateful for their help!

My tutor, Jackson, was incredibly helpful and supportive. I truly believe he played an integral part in helping me raise my SAT score. My brother looks forward to similar results as he works with Jackson this year. Thank you, Jackson!

We had a great experience with Revolution Prep. David Zimbalist did an excellent job explaining the process and recommending an approach. Our daughter had a phenomenal tutor - Karen Gonzalez. Karen did an excellent job helping our daughter achieve her SAT goal! The practice tests, follow-up, communication, and updates were perfect.

Revolution Prep's Executive Function Coaching has helped to equip both of my high school students with relevant and applicable tools to immediately put into action. The tutors my students worked with have helped my kids become more organized and more productive students. I highly recommend Revolution Prep to anyone looking to elevate their student's performance both academically and personally.

Joe Twohig has been so helpful in this process, and every tutor has been superior. The portal has also made scheduling a breeze. I would definitely recommend to everyone I know!

Jackson was excellent as we rounded out our son's junior year and finished Physics strong. Could not be happier with Jackson and the assistance he gave to our son.

Jackson Byers tutored our son in IB Math and Chemistry over a six month period of his senior year. He started with one practice session a week and in the weeks leading up to his final they spent 3-4 hours a week together working through theories and practicing applying them. He really needed to bring his final grade up by at least a point to meet his conditional offers in the UK and I am confident with Jackson’s help he did all he could do to get his best grade. Our son really enjoyed spending time and learning with Jackson. We went through two other tutors who were great but he really connected with Jackson. Revolution Prep is awesome-we’ll continue to leverage their tutor for our daughter as she enters her final years of high school.

I worked with multiple tutors for my IB experience and all of them were very helpful. My favorite tutor was Jackson Byars, who helped me in multiple different subjects with his knowledge and expertise, and adapted to the specificity in the IB program intelligently so he could provide me with the help I need. Revolution prep is a great service with great tutors and I would recommend anyone who needs help to try the service, especially with tutors like Jackson.

Thank You Revolution Prep! Our Academic advisor Joe Twohig and my child’s tutors Ernie C, Eric C and Kristen F have all been amazing. Their communication and consideration and skills are genuine and we couldn’t have made it through the stressful end of year exams without them. My son feels more secure and prepared after working with the revolution prep team! Couldn’t be happier with them!

Great tutors. My kids’ test scores went up substantially since they started tutoring. And our rep Sue H. is excellent. Highly responsive and a great communicator. 5 stars all around.

Great tutoring company. I have been working with Joe Twohig, who advised us on what would work best for my daughter's pre-calc class and SAT prep. Her tutor, Chazlee Myers, has done a wonderful job making my daughter feel comfortable and explaining the material in a way that she could understand. It has made her want to learn instead of hating the subject at school. Her grade has improved and she's been able to maintain an A in her math class. We're still waiting for her SAT scores but it's clear she was more confident going into the test. I would highly recommend this tutoring company to other parents.
