The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Dennis Francis, met on Monday, 15 July 2024, with H.E. Dr. Fadli Zon, Chair of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia.
The President of the General Assembly and the Chair of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia discussed the question of Palestine, including within the resumed tenth emergency special session, as well as the recent UNRWA pledging conference.
They further exchanged views on upcoming important Summits during the UNGA high-level week in September 2024 and the significance of bridging the digital divides.
The President of the General Assembly appreciated the work of the Chair of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation in advancing parliament diplomacy to strengthen multilateralism and commended Indonesia’s commitment to the work of the United Nations.
