Single Window Towards Cross-Border Paperless Trade

Course overview:

This online course equips participants with practical strategies to address post-implementation challenges in Single Windows, focusing on regulatory, technical, financial, and organizational solutions through case studies, expert interviews, and hands-on exercises. Participants will develop skills to assess system maturity, strengthen legal frameworks, enhance governance, secure sustainable financing, improve technical infrastructure, manage change effectively, and enhance the national and regional Single Window interoperability level.

The online course consists of 11 self-paced interactive modules (approximately 20 minutes each), expert video interviews.

Offered by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and The World Bank Group (World Bank).

The Challenge:

Establishing a fully operational National Single Window is only the beginning. Post-implementation challenges—including interoperability issues, technical sustainability gaps, governance weaknesses, and cybersecurity threats—can significantly undermine the effectiveness of even the most promising NSW systems.

This course directly addresses these critical obstacles with targeted strategies, real-world solutions, and expert insights from leading international organizations including ESCAP, World Bank Group, UNCITRAL, UNCTAD, UN/CEFACT, WCO, and ASEAN.

Through interactive, scenario-based learning complemented by practical assignments and live expert sessions, you'll acquire the essential skills and actionable strategies needed for sustainable management and continuous improvement of National Single Window systems.

How to get the certificate:

Certificate of Completion: Upon successful completion of all 11 modules (minimum passing score of 80% per quiz), participants will receive a free Certificate of Completion issued by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the World Bank.
