Fantastic spot for brunch in the heart of Hyde Park! The shrimp and grits were amazing.

Food was delicious. The shrimp and grits especially were SO good. I liked the beignets, but probably better eaten warm immediately.

Clean and nice ambiance. Water is self serve on tap and is so fresh and crisp.

Order at the counter. Fast service.

I recently visited this spot and overall had a pretty nice experience. The service was great -- everyone was friendly and attentive, which made the evening enjoyable. The ambiance was really good too -- cozy, welcoming, and perfect for a casual place

The food was just okay, though. Some dishes were a little on the salty side for my taste. It wasn't bad, but it didn't quite live up to the rest of the experience.

Nice place, pleasant atmosphere. The food was mostly good! The catfish was fried nicely and the grits were good. The deviled eggs were really salty.

The wait was quite long. And for that reason, I will not return. There was one cashier to take all of the orders while also making drinks. Seems like another cashier or two are in order. At least an additional person to make drinks....

amazing amazing food, the shrimp and grits is simply divine! on a sunday morning the longest wait was the line (10 min) but once you order and sit down the food comes out immediately!

Very clean, quick and friendly service. The food is *immaculate* as well as the coffee. We luckily got there before it got too busy, and were able to get a table. Definitely will be coming back!

Nice ambience, clean environment and the shrimp and grits is delicious. Excellent portion sizes. Grab some beignets too, you won't regret it. Parking sucks, but of course. Hoping they open a 2nd location that more accessible.

This is a nice place to visit in the Hyde park area . I always wanted to come here but parking was an issue. This morning the parking Gods were with me. The beignets are not comparable with anything in New Orleans, they are just ok. They have counter - service and that's good , especially for large parties. The line moves fast and the food comes out of the kitchen quickly. I went with my son but it's also a good place for a solo party. All in all , I'll be back because I have to try the shrimp and grits and cinnamon bun!

Finally made it to Roux Diner--and I'll definitely be back.
The countertop service was a nice touch and gave it a cool, casual vibe. I kept it simple with a basic breakfast, and the bread and grits were both solid wins. The breakfast sausage, though? That was an instant no for me--definitely won't be ordering that again. The iced latte hit the spot, and the ambiance is cute and surprisingly spacious. Great spot for a chill morning bite.
