I’ve enjoyed The Big Bang Theory. I never could get a bead on Young Sheldon. Both shows have respectable ratings and fans, but appeal to different people. TBBT playfully pokes fun at “smart folk.” Young Sheldon respects and admires “regular folk” with a wink and a smile. Grok me?

We “smart folk” don’t understand why the “regular folk” of US choose a lying cheating con artist over a respectable, well-read prosecuting attorney who just happens to be of the fair sex and ethnic descent.

Why would Doctor Phil appeal more to Sheldon’s mom then Oprah Winfrey?
