From Rochester, New York, we drove a couple of hours through Buffalo, across the border into Canada, and spent the afternoon, walking around downtown Toronto. We covered maybe 1/2 square mile, by foot, but saw a lot!

Palmyra, NY
Last minute, we were in touch with one of Rick’s mission companions and agreed to meet up for the weekend. We left our house at 4 a.m. on Saturday, and headed to Palymra, New York.
The Sacred Grove
In the spring of 1820, Joseph Smith, Jr. entered this remnant of an ancient forest to kneel in prayer. The vision he beheld of God the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ, initiated the restoration to the earth of the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I could not pass up the chance to capture these two young girls, sitting near the grove, whispering.
