While sitting in a chair in the Doctor’s office yesterday, I said, “I hope that the next time I see you is in the hospital, in your scrubs!”
He said, “How about tonight?”
I said, “It would be a miracle!”
Well, no miracles came to pass last night, but I am still in my 39th week.
It’s been an incredible journey and frankly, I can’t wait to not be pregnant anymore.
I keep telling our little lady,
“Come out, come out, where ever you are!”

I can barely get my legs into these blue pants anymore without tipping over.
While laying in bed the other night, Rick said, “I can’t believe there is a full-grown baby right behind your skin!”
Ya, tell me about it! I think it’s finally hitting him that in less than 2 weeks, he’ll be a Papa. (And I’ll be SO HAPPY!)
Here’s to hoping she comes in 5 days. But I am sure it will be more like 10+.
Please send all your good Labor & Delivery vibes our way!
(For this weekend!)
Hey, I had no idea you had a blog! Glad I found it! And here’s hoping the baby comes soon!
My guess is that she will arrive Friday or Saturday. Oh I’m so excited for you…and excited that in a short time she will be in your arms and you too can curl up in the fetal position again on the couch or sleep on your tummy!
Oh girl, I hope you’re psychic! Anytime after tonight works for us! (We have tickets to a show…)
Thanks Michelle! I hope so too!
You are beautiful!!!
She’ll arrive at the perfect moment for her. One minute later, you won’t care one whit what you had to endure. I promise. And such joy as you have never known will fill your soul. (Until she starts screaming and you can’t figure out what she wants. :> )
Yes, she’ll come when she’s ripe and ready! 🙂 When she starts screaming, I’ll just hand her over to Rick! 😉 Yeah, in my dreams.
Oh she has dropped! I can tell in the last pic! I can’t wait either! So exciting 🙂
OH man, she’s dropped! My left leg has been numb since March 17th! 🙂
These pictures are awesome!
Ooohhh…I was so glad to wake up and find this post! I was JUST wondering about that little baby Z. So, I cannot even stand it that you could wear that pair of pants (even for 5 minutes) your entire pregnancy 🙂 You are amazing! I could never even come close. You are beautiful and so will she be!!!
Thank you, Michelle. I hope you have a bundle of fun with your friends this coming week! 🙂
I’m sending you all my vibes. Hope she comes soon!
Oh man, I am SO EXCITED for you guys!!!
Ditto to Michelle – impressive those pants still fit… not a chance around these parts!!!
Waiting the last little bit is the hardest. I can’t wait for her arrival! You still look fantastic.
Your photo series is wonderful! You look amazing! So excited 🙂
Our good vibes and prayers are with you for anytime that Little Lady Z wants to make her debut. Looking fantastic as usual.
Good vibes coming your way: Peace, Comfort (spiritually and mentally; and in the physical sense as good as it can be…) and then JOY – a great little bundle of it! 🙂
Thank you, Jill!! 🙂
One of my favorite books is called “BABY, COME OUT!” It’s a little picture book that has the most adorable story about a baby girl who was so happy in her mama’s tummy that she didn’t want to come out. You should look it up. Find it. Read it to your little lady. And then she’ll come. It always worked for me. 🙂
Best of luck!
Jessie, I have never heard of this book! I will have to find it! 🙂
I LOVE your mother’s thought that she will come when she’s ready. I couldn’t wait until Shiloh came out… I even tried everything to induce a pregnancy naturally and safely (walking, eating some peculiar stuff, etc.) but she didn’t come early. And when she came, June 17th was perfect.
Hang in there Vanessa. Her birth day will be perfect. Positive thoughts for this weekend. 🙂
Annie, if I remember right, she came on her due date. 🙂 I’ll gladly take my due date! With my mom and sister’s track record…this baby is going to slide down the chute long past her due date. Here’s to hoping she doesn’t but I will happily receive her when she’s ready!
Yay, Vanessa – almost done! I love the picture progression – you didn’t show for so long! This is the hardest time of the pregnancy, I think. It’s all a mental game. You’ll soon be home, with a baby, and breathing a sigh of relief (and then a lot of sighs of tiredness!) Keep up the good spirits! Can’t wait to see pics of baby Z in a few days!:)
