Stowe, Vermont

I didn’t want to know. I insisted to be kept in suspense! There was no way I would allow him to allow me to dig for details about our honeymoon. I am rarely surprised in my life! For once, I wanted to be surprised. I had my suspicions about what he would plan. Forget laying on a beach in the Caribbean, sipping pina coladas and feeling fat in a bathing suit. Forget heading down to So Cal for a trip to Disneyland. Forget all of that! What’s so special about those things? I knew Rick better than that. I knew he had some class and style. I had an idea that we’d spend our time in New England, and very possibly, Vermont. Needless to say, Rick does not disappoint!

Our Wedding Day

Today Rick and I celebrate 4 weeks of married life! It has been a great adjustment with minimal complications. I have felt right at home here in Burlington, Vermont. I am happy to present to you some of our favorite pictures from our wedding day.

Props to my mother who made my wedding dress. I have never had so many people gawk over an item of clothing, as I have this dress. She is the master seamstress. Thanks mom for making me look pretty on my wedding day!

“Make Me Look Beautiful!”

img_20070920_2420.jpg

Meet Frank.

He’s my personal wedding day make up artist. He also did my make up for my bridals. He worked in New York City for years as a professional make up artist for fashion magazines and the like. He is currently working at AEROLAB SALON as a hair stylist. His work is amazing and how blessed I was to be his canvas for a day, as he worked his magic! In the words of my sister Annika, “He can make a cloth rag look good!” No doubt about it!

Annika generously offered her sisterly hair services on my wedding day. She always performs marvelous work and how grateful I was to let her spontaneously create my wedding hair-do. Sometimes you just don’t care anymore about little details. It’s better to hand over your trust into loving hands and let them create something special for you. Being flexible on your wedding day is the greatest thing I did to lessen the stress.

Thank you Annika and Frank for making me feel beautiful on my wedding day. I love you both.

Marathon weekend

Mormon Night at Angels Stadium: My girlfriend Kim came with her friend, Jeff, from Vegas, to hang out for the weekend. (Whoa, my hair is getting long!) Ball games are more fun when your team wins! (And WIN they did!) I love a nice phat Italian sausage! The fries were great too! I have the greatest friends ever. They keep me smiling. Thanks for coming to the OC Kim. You are the BEST. I have a lot to smile about!

On Saturday, we enjoyed a visit to the Los Angeles Temple and then headed to Manhattan Beach for some swimming in the polluted ocean!

After following the suggestion of Morgan and Chris, we went to the Hollywood cemetery! Throughout the Summer, your Saturday nights can be spent in the cemetery of the stars. Cinespia sponsors this event. Movies are projected on the wall of a building. We viewed Cary Grants 1940’s His Girl Friday. Blankets, chairs, picnic and friends make for a great cultural night! This week they are screening Pee Wee’s Big Adventure! :::I’m a loner Dottie, a rebel!:::
