In the tradition of 'Before and After',
we begin with two quick images.
On the left is a fan simply placed on the ceiling
without any kind of decoration.
On the right is a photo from a commercial site
showing a 'blank' medallion above the fan.
All of the following medallions have been
hand-decorated by Kathy Cunningham.
Details of the colors which were used have
been placed on the reverse side of each medallion.
We begin with a 16-inch 'blank' medallion
with a sculpted design, which is then shown
with three different colorations, and then
placed on the ceiling above each fan.
Here we have a 24-inch 'blank' which has sculptured edges
on the outside, and a plain but slightly sloped middle.
Some gentle pastels were used on this medallion.
Next is a 24-inch sculpted 'blank' which
was painted and then placed above the fan.
Finally, this 21-inch smooth 'blank' provided
an opportunity for a very different
kind of painting in the center.
Continuing with this idea, here
is one more smooth medallion
which is waiting for its fan.
