نبذة عني

His Excellency Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi was appointed Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the UAE Government in 2006, also serving as Deputy Chairman of the Ministerial Development Council. His responsibilities include overseeing the federal government strategy, aligning efforts with the UAE National Agenda, enhancing national competitiveness, and ensuring high government performance across all sectors. Between February 2016 and July 2020, he was tasked with developing the UAE’s Future Foresight Strategy to promote government readiness for future challenges.

In addition to his ministerial role, Al Gergawi holds several key positions: Chairman of the Executive Office of Dubai, Chairman of the World Government Summit, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation, Secretary General of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, Chairman of the Museum of the Future, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Great Arab Minds. Internationally, he is a member of the World Economic Forum Leadership Council and co-chairs the Global Future Councils. In 2018, he joined the UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation, aimed at addressing technological challenges.

Al Gergawi also initiated excellence programs to boost the efficiency of the public and private sectors, such as the Dubai Quality Award (1994), Dubai Government Excellence Program (1997), and Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award (2009) at the federal level. He chairs the Board of Trustees of the Arab Government Excellence Award (AGEAward).

In business, Al Gergawi founded Dubai Holding and chaired its board until 2017, overseeing its growth to AED 130 billion in assets across 13 countries. He established various specialized economic zones, including Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, and Dubai Healthcare City, and chaired the Dubai Investment and Development Authority.

As Secretary General of MBRGI, he oversees global humanitarian and developmental projects across 105 countries, focusing on education, healthcare, innovation, and community empowerment. Notable initiatives include the One Billion Meals campaign, the Emirates Food Bank, and the Digital School.

Al Gergawi has received numerous honors, including honorary doctorates from Georgetown University and ESCP Business School, an Honorary Fellowship of the London Business School, the Order of Friendship from Uzbekistan, the Moroccan Royal Order of Merit, and the American Business Award. He was named Federal Personality of the Year in 2017 by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
