    Lifelong interest in working with young people and adults with learning difficulties which started when I run a club at school for adults from the local institution for these with severe and profound learning difficulties. This has continued through my working life as evidenced by my total support for a mixed able bodied and disabled (learning and physical disabilities) club at both colleges I ran. The club at Harlow won several national competitions for music and dance.

    I also acted a be-friender for a lady with mental health problems who had agoraphobia for many years before I moved to the GCC.
