    Situation
    I was responsible as principal SW engineer for the development of embedded software for a wearable medical device that monitored patients' heart rates. Ensuring data security and privacy was a top priority, given the sensitive nature of the information. Additionally, the project required the implementation of predictive analytics to identify potential heart stroke risks.

    Task.
    My responsibility was to design and implement a reliable and efficient software solution that could accurately record and transmit heart rate data in real-time, incorporate robust cybersecurity measures, and use ML and AI techniques to predict future heart strokes based on cardiac measurements.

    Action.
    I collaborated with a team of engineers to develop the software using C/C++ and adhered to MISRA-C guidelines. I integrated the software with an ARM microcontroller (STM32) for seamless data transmission. I designed and implemented custom crypto algorithms (SSL based) to secure data across all 7 layers of the OSI model. I also developed a home-made PCB to manage ADC inputs and utilized DMA peripherals for rapid in-memory storage. To enable predictive analytics, I implemented a neural network to analyze cardiac measurements and identify potential heart stroke risks. All the collected data was securely stored in an Oracle database.

    Result.
    The embedded software solution we developed successfully monitored heart rates with a 99% accuracy rate while ensuring robust data security and privacy. The implementation of the neural network for predictive analytics significantly improved the early detection of heart stroke risks, allowing healthcare providers to take preventive measures and potentially save lives.

I developed the software using C/C++ for robustness and reliability. To ensure data security and privacy, I implemented custom crypto algorithms (Keyed Hashing) across all 7 layers of the OSI model.

    I followed the OSI model for network communication and used SysML to create detailed documentation of the software architecture. I implemented custom crypto algorithms (BLAKE and AES-GCM) to secure data across all 7 layers of the OSI model. All the collected data was securely stored in an Oracle database, ensuring data privacy and protection. The advanced analytics and user-friendly interface enabled more efficient monitoring and management of the building's security, leading to improved protection and response times to potential threats.
