Delighted to be in Reston, Virginia today (suburb of Washington D.C.) for the Ultimate Partner® Live event. The agenda is packed with speakers from the hyperscalers, SaaS platforms, cyber and data vendors who are well positioned to win in the platform-driven AI era. How are they going to win? By working with every other player in the room and millions of partners who are driving the next generation of the platform economy. The event is being hosted at Carahsoft’s HQ location and heard from Craig Abod, President, yesterday. As we are in the heart of the U.S. Federal Government territory (the largest buyer in the world inside the $5.3 trillion tech and telco industry), we must recognize Carahsoft’s dominance of the federal distributor market. This dominance has increased dramatically over the last five years and they are now the 6th largest distributor in the world according to Omdia. In 2019, they generated 47.9% of all federal distributor revenue. In 2023, that figure rose to an all-time high of 72.1%. Since 2019, Carahsoft has doubled its publicly-reported federal contract revenue, while all other distributors, on average, have seen a decline of 37%.
