Behind every uniform is a person, someone who laughs, listens, and carries their community’s hopes with quiet pride. Across the Pacific, these officers are united not just by duty, but by connection, to place, to culture, and to each other. It’s in the shared songs, the long journeys, and the small moments of friendship that remind us why service matters. We partnered with the Australian Federal Police to bring this story to life.

The first episode of Inside Pacific Policing is here. Created with the Australian Federal Police, this new documentary series celebrates culture, connection and shared purpose across the Blue Pacific. Episode one, Pacific Police Tattoo 2025, takes viewers behind the scenes of a landmark event in Port Moresby marking Papua New Guinea’s 50th year of independence. Police bands from eight nations came together to perform, connect and celebrate the Pacific spirit. Filmed across multiple locations including Samoa, the Solomon Islands, Fiji and Queensland, the episode captures both the energy of performance and the quiet moments of friendship that unite officers across borders. We’re proud to help bring this story to life.

The future of cause storytelling isn’t about going bigger, it’s about going deeper. We Are Mobilise is helping young Australians understand homelessness. Suay is teaching the hidden cost of fashion. Project Planet is breaking down climate complexity for a new generation. And ALLKND - Social & Mental Health is turning awareness into participation. Each shows that education builds belief, and belief builds lasting change. Read the full piece and let us know what you think.

The new Aged Care Act marks one of the biggest transformations in aged care history, putting older people at the centre of a safer, fairer and more transparent system. We were proud to help tell that story. Through an animation and video suite built around a single unifying idea, a house that represents the foundation of the new system, we helped audiences understand how each reform fits together to create something stronger. It has been a privilege to be part of a national moment of change and collaboration.

Last week, someone told us they spent half a day trying to write a creative brief, deleted it twice, and finally gave up because, in their words, “I’m not creative, I don’t know what to say.” Writing a strong creative brief doesn’t have to be hard. You don’t need pages of strategy or perfectly polished language. What matters most is clarity: knowing what you’re trying to achieve, who you’re trying to reach, and how you want people to feel. A brief is really just the bridge between your world and ours. It helps us understand what matters to you and gives us the context we need to tell your story in a way that connects. You don’t need to have all the answers before you start. Think of a brief as a conversation starter, not a test. It’s a way to get your ideas on paper so we can explore them together and make something that actually works. Here are a few things that make a brief more helpful: Start with the why. Before you get into formats or runtimes, ask: Why are we making this video? What prompted it? Is there a shift happening in your organisation? A challenge you’ve noticed? An opportunity you want to capture? Understanding the bigger picture helps us build a stronger creative foundation. Define success early. Try finishing this sentence: “This will be a success if…” It might be more engagement, better internal buy-in, or simply that people finally understand what you do. Clear goals shape creative choices later, from tone to format to distribution. Know who it’s for. Think of your audience as real people, not just demographics. What do they care about? What might stop them from engaging? What tone or platform would feel most natural for them? If you’re not sure yet, that’s fine. Even a rough idea helps us steer the story in the right direction. Think about who shapes the story. A strong brief isn’t only about what needs to be made. It’s also about whose voices should be part of it. If you’re open to co-design, lived experience input, or community involvement, let us know early. It helps us plan for a process that’s creative, inclusive and respectful. Share what you think you’ll need. Maybe it’s a short animation for social, a story-led film, or a few interviews that can be cut in different ways. Even if things evolve, giving us an early sense of scope helps us plan smarter and save time later. Tone, visuals and feel. How should it feel? Friendly, grounded, brave, hopeful? If there’s a video or campaign that’s really resonated with you, share it. It gives us a great sense of direction for the creative approach. And finally, don’t stress about getting it perfect. A brief is there to spark ideas, not to lock them in. If you’d like a simple checklist to help you get started, we’ve put together a short guide for teams that are planning their next video project. Just reply in the comments and we can DM you!

Over the past few months, our team has been filming across the Pacific Islands. They've been capturing the stories, sounds, and spirit of communities that are as vibrant as the landscapes themselves. From remote villages to bustling towns, every stop has been filled with warmth, rhythm and colour. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at what we’ve been up to.

We missed International Animation Day yesterday, but that doesn't stop us from celebrating the incredible animators at Laundry Lane today. We have an in-house team of 2D and 3D animators who have animated everything from gout to unit prices. Have a peek in the comments for a blog on our animators favourite animations and a video they created to demystify the animation process.

Ahead of the B Lab Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand Assembly event last week, Alexandra (La) and I had a chance to sit down and chat about what we do, why we do it, and what it means to us and the team for Laundry Lane to be B Corp Certified. For those of you haven't heard about the B Corp movement or might have noticed the logo whilst picking up some toilet paper (Who Gives A Crap), a few no alc beers (Heaps Normal), a latte at your local café (Pablo and Rusty's Coffee Roasters), a fleece for your next hike (Patagonia) or even food for your hungry groodle (Lyka) and wondered what it's all about. B Lab is the non-profit behind the global B Corp movement, helping businesses use their impact for good. They certify companies that meet high social and environmental standards and bring together a community committed to making business work better for people, communities and the planet. For us, being part of that community keeps us accountable, and inspired to keep finding ways to use storytelling for positive change.

Last week the Laundry Lane team joined 180 other purpose driven humans in Glenworth Valley on Darkinjung Country for Assembly 2025. The three days were incredible. It was so energising to be around such a large and diverse group that all gathered around a shared sentiment, that there is a better way to do business. We had the opportunity to film the event and do the socials during the day (and had the best time making the daily wrap videos each evening). The team loved getting stuck in to try and capture all of the things that made Assembly so special. To all the people we got the chance to talk to, thank you for shaping our experience. And an even bigger thank you to B Lab Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand team (Kira D., Andrew Davies, Mela Baldock, Maisie Kelly, Angie Farrugia, Erica McCalman, Lucinda W.) to name a few. And the other awesome suppliers, AV1 and Frank Wild). #Assembly2025
