Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health on a global scale.
About us
Since 2003, Movember has built a global men’s health movement, funding more than 1,300 projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men. Movember has taken on three of the biggest health issues affecting men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide. Movember has: ▪ Invested almost $350 million in over 600 biomedical research projects, focusing on prostate and testicular cancer. ▪ Funded 4 prostate cancer registries, with over 200,000 men enrolled from 23 countries. ▪ Supported interventions designed to assist and guide men through the prostate cancer journey, offering them resources and information so that they are empowered to make their own decisions, manage symptoms and share lived experiences. ▪ Since taking on mental health and suicide as a cause area in 2006, Movember has united experts, funded bold new approaches and embraced fresh perspectives. We’ve focused on prevention, early intervention, and health promotion through a male lens. Movember is for everyone, not just for men. We are a health movement and our invitation to take part is open to everyone. We champion healthcare that is sensitive to the needs of everyone, including men, so that everyone benefits. And we have a strong focus on how improving men's health can have a profoundly positive impact on women, families, and society as a whole. But we lead the charge in encouraging men to adopt healthy behaviours, challenging health systems and confronting gender norms to reduce health inequalities and save more lives. Last week I was on the panel to kick-off the #Movember2025 campaign here in Perth. It was a great opportunity to share my "𝘸𝘩𝘺", my role as a #CommunityAmbassador and to share tips to increase Movember energy within organisations. My top five tips for building a corporate campaign: 1. Gain executive 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘆-𝗶𝗻 early; their participation increases impact. 2. Create connection and find 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀 to share why they "mo". 3. Everyone likes to win so 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻 and create competition between teams within your organisation. Accolades to the winner!! 4. 𝗗𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆, finding activations that do not cost money - the BHP #buildingmo in Perth is an example. 5. 𝗗𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿-𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 and is the simplest way for employee donations to be matched by the company. Paris Dale Nathan Appo Charlene Brennan

Men’s health was on the agenda at the World Health Summit for the first time. Our very own Amy O'Connor represented us the last two days and did us proud. She even spotted a moustache among the esteemed attendees. We’re not saying moustaches make you smarter, but the evidence is hard to dispute. It's great that men's health is being talked about in such high places. But there's still a long way to go. Join the cause at movember.com/register Huge thanks and shout out to Global Action on Men's Health - they're doing incredible things.

Really excited about this new series! Check out the full first episode in the top comment 👇
📣 Very excited to share the LAUNCH OF OUR NEW Movember YOUTUBE SERIES, CONFESSION BOX: to help young men navigate relationship challenges. 💔 Relationship struggles are a major source of stress for young men and can increase the risk of poor mental health and suicidal ideation. Many seek advice online but often encounter content that is unhelpful or promoting harmful ideas and ideologies. Confession Box aims to provide a healthier alternative by promoting emotional literacy, empathy, and open communication in an entertaining way. Hosted by the amazing Ben Hurst, each episode features a different guest from the world of youth culture and together they unpack common relationship dilemmas (taken from our research). First episode features YouTuber ChrisMD. We want to normalise these discussions between guys, and give young men the skills, confidence, and belief that openly expressing and discussing relationship concerns is normal and valuable. Leading to more communication, healthier relationships and better mental wellbeing. Check out the content on YouTube (link below), subscribe to the channel and watch out for this across TikTok and Instagram (although if we’re doing our jobs well you probably won’t see it on your feed unless you’re an 18-year-old guy 😉 ). Thank you to the amazing team at Caliber for strategy, format development and production and media amplification, Habit Partners® | Younger Lives Group for helping us develop the behavioural strategy and evaluating the impact, and the The Good Side | BCorp™ for their amazing qualitative research that helped inform the project. Since January, we’ve been back and forth to the U.S., building our advocacy and policy work, and the momentum is real. At the state level, we’re seeing genuine leadership: Governor Newsom has issued an executive order on boys and men; Governor Moore is investing heavily in targeted solutions to uplift them; and Governor Whitmer is taking concrete action to support young men. These aren’t just policies for men and boys, they’re policies that strengthen families and bring communities together. They show men and boys that they are seen, that their wellbeing matters, and that recognition counts in an increasingly polarised world where democracy itself feels under threat. Last week, we launched a major report with Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, a powerful milestone capping months of work to understand the challenges and surface solutions for men and boys across the U.S. It’s our sixth national report, following launches in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and the U.K., where we’ve already generated significant political and policy momentum. We are at a pivotal moment for action on men’s and boys’ health, and if this momentum continues, we can achieve meaningful change for them, and for the families and communities that love them.

Ahead of the Game with Ryan Thomas Cartledge on World Mental Health Day. Check out the full story below 👇. This is why we Mo.
Ahead of the Game For years, Ryan Thomas Cartledge has been part of our rugby league family — helping to develop the next generation through our player pathway, academy and scholarship teams. Recently, he’s stepped outside the “rugby bubble” to deliver Ahead of the Game — a mental fitness programme delivered in partnership with Rugby League Cares and Movember, helping young players understand the importance of looking out for their mates. “It’s been something completely different for me, but really enjoyable to share the importance of talking to your mate.” 💬 We’re incredibly proud that Ahead of the Game was named Project of the Year at our end-of-season dinner — a true reflection of the impact it’s having across our community. 🏆 🎥 Hear from Ryan about what the programme means to him and why these conversations matter. #worldmentalhealthday #movember #aheadofthegame
