Notebook in hand and questions ready, 10-year-old Isabelle went behind the scenes at Origin’s Bulwer Island LPG terminal in Brisbane to see how gas makes its way to homes and businesses across Queensland and New South Wales.   From watching ships unload LPG to seeing how it’s stored, filled, and loaded onto trucks and tankers, Issy got a close-up look at the journey gas takes before it reaches our stoves and hot water systems. Allegro Energy has been recognised at The Australian Financial Review's 2025 Energy Awards for their locally developed microemulsion flow battery technology, an innovation we're proud to be helping bring to market.   Over the past three years, we’ve worked closely with Allegro to help accelerate the rollout of this breakthrough long-duration storage solution – with the first demonstration plant currently under construction at Eraring Power Station, to showcase the product to potential customers.

We love supporting our communities and it was great to help bring good vibes to the Lismore Show again in 2025. Having the opportunity to connect with people face-to-face is incredibly important to us. We were able to help customers review their accounts, discuss energy plans, understand concessions entitlements and discuss energy-saving tips and tricks – as well as helping out local businesses.

We’ve teamed up with Channel 9’s Budget Battlers to help Aussies transform their homes. From rooftop solar and batteries, to LED lighting — we’re rolling up our sleeves to deliver useful home upgrades, and showing Aussies how to boost their energy efficiency and move toward electrification. Our shareholders have shown strong support for our Climate Transition Action Plan, which reaffirms our 2030 emissions reduction targets and long-term ambition to be net zero by 2050. The plan outlines our strategy and priorities to continue to decarbonise Origin across three pillars: unrivalled customer solutions, accelerating renewable energy and storage; and delivering reliable energy through the transition.
