  • A special journey to Osaka ✨🇯🇵 Over the past 12 months, Study Queensland has been proud to capture the stories of international students who are living and learning in our state. These stories reflect the vibrant, inclusive, and transformative experience of studying in Queensland, and help us showcase our state to future students around the world. One of these stories features Tsukushi, a Japanese student currently studying English and completing part of her secondary education on the Sunshine Coast. Tsukushi’s journey was recently highlighted in promotional materials used to represent Queensland at World Expo 2025 Osaka. We were delighted that Tsukushi’s proud parents could travel to Osaka to see their daughter representing Queensland on the global stage. Their joy was a powerful reminder of the pride families feel when their children thrive through international education. Adding a beautiful layer to this moment, Tsukushi’s mother, Riina, was able to reconnect with a friend she met 25 years ago while studying in Queensland herself. This heartfelt reunion speaks to the enduring friendships and lifelong connections that begin right here in Queensland. 🎓🌏 We’re thrilled that Tsukushi’s family could share in this milestone, and that her story continues to reflect the warmth, opportunity, and global community that defines why Queensland is a premier destination for international education, training, research and innovation.
