Sustainability in action – BioChill implementation   At Symbion, we’re proud to be taking meaningful steps toward reducing our environmental footprint. In locations where refrigerated containers aren’t feasible, we’ve partnered with industry innovator BioChill to introduce a new self-contained cold chain delivery solution, replacing traditional polystyrene shippers for transporting temperature-sensitive medicines.   We’ve now expanded the use of BioChill recyclable liners throughout the regional areas of South Australia and Northern Territory, with remote regional areas in Western Australia coming on board in the coming weeks.   The results speak for themselves: BioChill has proven exceptional across long-distance regional routes — from Adelaide to remote South Australian townships and Darwin to Gove, over 1,000 km away. This highlights the reliability and sustainability of BioChill in maintaining cold-chain integrity across some of Australia’s most challenging environments.   What’s Next? We’re expanding BioChill across additional NT regional customers, monitoring route performance through the wet season, and capturing customer feedback to strengthen future sustainability reporting.

Pharmacy Connect 2025 Symbion returned as an event major partner at Pharmacy Connect this month, represented by General Manager Pharmacy Andrew Crawley, Key Account Manager Jasmine Choi, New Business Development Partner NSW Max Santomingo and Retail Development Manager Yvonne Kenny. Attendees heard about our latest innovations and investments – including our new Kemps Creek distribution centre in Sydney’s west – and we were proud to sponsor a keynote session featuring one of the world’s leading futurists, Michael McQueen. With a lot to take in over the two days, our experienced team was eager to help eventgoers translate conference insights into actionable business plans. They also had a great time building and strengthening relationships with pharmacy stakeholders and providing tailored assistance to our customers through our Pharmacy Choice program.

We’re proud to shine a spotlight on Pharmacy Choice Carmen Drive Pharmacy’s Biggest Morning Tea event in support of the Cancer Council! With a fundraising target of $5,000, they’re well on their way—and the final total isn’t in yet, with raffle tickets still being sold through the end of this week. The event was more than just tea and treats.
