We hunted. We found. We won. TBWA\Australia has taken out Google’s Creative Works ‘The Hunt’ — proof that when creativity meets technology, Disruption® delivers measurable impact. Our entries showed the power of human creativity and tech in action. Congratulations to Sophie Ford and Stephanie Gwee, our TBWA reps who led the charge across multiple campaigns and shaped the winning submission among some incredible competition. The reward? A YouTube Creative Immersion in Tokyo this November — diving deep into the future of Google, YouTube, and AI. Big moment for the team ; and a reminder that human creativity still win. Thanks Sam Pierson, Jonathan Hiley and Google AU for the partnership.

“Why I Won’t Replace Michelangelo With AI.” We’re pumped for this SXSW Sydney 2025 session featuring Paul Reardon, Chief Creative Officer, and Lucio Ribeiro, Chief AI and Innovation Officer — two people who believe creativity still starts with humans. SXSW is where culture, creativity, and technology collide. There’s no better stage to explore the creative crossroads our industry is standing at. How AI is changing the way ideas are made, but not why we make them. Because true disruption still begins with imagination, not machines. Session details (limited seats — book now): 📍 Friday, 17 October | 3:45 PM | ICC Sydney 🎨 Session: Why I Won’t Replace Michelangelo With AI Thanks to Fenella Kernebone, Claire Tester, and Simon Cahill for the invitation to join the conversation at SXSW Sydney 2025.

DAIFF (Disrupt AI Film Festival) is meant to create a community for Australia's future makers. It was designed to be a coalition of the influencer voices: academia, tech, enterprise, and legal. We set out to disrupt, to put authorship, copyright, and human creativity in the age of AI on the table, and our partners backed that ambition. Their support validates DAIFF, and it gives the festival the global weight to shape what comes next. DAIFF is on the way to becoming the Australian forum for human-led creative AI film. Thanks LBBonline - Little Black Book for the coverage and Tess Connery-Britten for speaking with us. TBWA\ Melbourne's planning director, Zac Martin GAICD, challenges advertising's role to sell in his latest piece for Campaign Asia-Pacific "The job of advertising isn’t to sell. It’s to make people feel. To be worth noticing. To be impossible to ignore. To be more entertaining. Be more interesting. Be more attention-grabbing. Hit people in the feels Because if no one’s watching, no one’s buying." At TBWA, we don’t just sell. We disrupt.
