"The newly formed Flourishing by Design Interest Group aims to make flourishing research actionable by design. Bringing together a collective of passionate multidisciplinary research professionals and industry practitioners, this group will not only discuss and disseminate wellbeing science scholarship but also translate theory into practice, examining spatial, organizational, and digital applications by which flourishing health and well-being might be realized for individuals, communities, and the planet.

We will consider design praxis (i.e., the design process) and practice (i.e., the design outcome), ensuring that intentionality, integrity, respect, and purpose are in-built as essential in design engagements and therefore results. Contributed to the initial conceptualization and creation of the new Health Equity rating for IWBI that explores consideration and pragmatic application of inclusive design practices for all.

Contributed Subject Matter Expert (SME)-driven exam questions, review, and counsel for updated WELL AP exam.

Provided operational oversight for the organization, exploring partnerships and providing procedural advice for national presence.

Acted as a mentor and judge for the 2019-2020 EarthTech Challenge, volunteering time and expertise to advise and eventually judge youth startups innovating across technology and business to create measurable impact in our world (i.e., via the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)). The Challenge received 850+ registrations from 73+ countries and consisted of ideas across the built environment, agriculture, IoT, blockchain, and more.

Served as a guest speaker for the 2021 EWB-US national conference.

Volunteers as a report reviewer for the EWBUK's Engineering for People Design Challenge and as a mentor to junior engineers working on complex projects in remote locations.

Supported WINGS mentors and mentees unconditionally in WingsforGrowth's outcomes-based mentoring program, by actively developing the mission of WINGS--to inspire, enable, and empower--and by ultimately transforming aspiring young women to become leaders of the future.

Volunteered as a brand ambassador, raising awareness with fellow building professionals in the London metro area about Architecture, Sustainability, and Engineering-related events, publications, and exhibits provided by The Building Centre.

Participated as a member of Lean In US and Canada organizations, sharing observations in a group setting to empower other women both in and out of the workplace.

Worked as a volunteer to help update infrastructure, build schools, and provide humanitarian support in Nepal for people impacted by the 2016 earthquake.

Acted as a formal and informal advocate for cancer patients (and their caretakers) as they came to terms with their diagnosis, researched and decided on a protocol of care, underwent treatment and/or managed their disease using natural approaches (e.g., nutrition, exercise), and fought their individual battles.
