Time for a celebration! Yesterday's launch event in Brussels marked the final step of our assignment with CONCORD for the elaboration of the 2025 AidWatch Report. A proud moment but also a space for useful feedback and reflection on the work done. We're grateful to Lur Fernández Salinas for her trust, coordination, and support to our great team of experts lead by Georg Huber-Grabenwarter. The AidWatch report provides data insights and information on EU's ODA. Check it out here on CONCORD's website: https://lnkd.in/eZhE28s7 Onwards and upwards!

Agile Development Consulting (ADC) collaborated with CONCORD Europe on the drafting of the upcoming #AidWatch 2025 Report, which will be launched on 22 October 2025. For two decades, the AidWatch Report has been a key reference for civil society monitoring of European Official Development Assistance (ODA) — assessing how EU aid is allocated and whether it effectively contributes to sustainable development and poverty reduction. This year’s edition — “Ending short-sightedness: Restoring ODA’s purpose” — calls for bold reforms to ensure that ODA once again prioritises Least Developed Countries and the sectors most vital for inclusive human development. The ADC team supported the research, analysis and drafting process in close collaboration with CONCORD and its network of national platforms and NGOs. Learn more about the launch event: https://lnkd.in/ev7Ds_Nj The full report will be available soon at aidwatch.concordeurope.org #AidWatch2025 #ODA #DevelopmentCooperation #EUaid #AgileDC #Research #PolicyAnalysis #SustainableDevelopment
👁️ Ending short-sightedness, restoring ODA’s purpose: #AidWatch 2025 launches 22 October! 🔸Since the publication of the first AidWatch report 20 years ago, ODA has contributed to improving global health, poverty reduction, education, governance and climate resilience in partner countries. 🔸But this progress is now under threat. After five years of growth, ODA budgets are being cut as donors interests are prioritised. 🔸Misreporting and inflated figures are further undermining ODA’s credibility and distorting its true impact. #AidWatch2025 calls for bold reforms to realign ODA with its initial purpose: prioritising Least Developed Countries (LDCs) or sectors most vital to inclusive human development. 📊 Stay tuned for the full report on 22 October!

Euro-Mediterranean cooperation for disability rights and inclusion in the region advances, and Agile Development Consulting is happy to support it! We had the pleasure of attending the Euro-Mediterranean High-Level Dialogue on Disability, co-organized by the Union for the Mediterranean and Grupo Social ONCE in Barcelona, Spain. At the occasion, we presented the Theory of Change (ToC) for a Euro-Mediterranean Disability Agenda that we elaborated with Alexis Buettgen, Samaneh Shabani, Imed Ouertani, and Dolores Mattossovich. Four pillars, two cross-cutting topics, a set of proposed actions, and, most importantly, a wide platform of States, organizations of persons with disabilities, experts, and practitioners to move forward on the path of inclusion. The ToC is not the final point, though. On the contrary, the real work begins now. No matter how complicated the path to inclusion may look, there is no other way than forward! Many thanks to Anna Dorangricchia Natalia Guala Beathyate Javier Güemes Giulia Maria Ferraresi

We are delighted to share that our community has grown to over 500 followers! (in less than 5 months on LinkedIn! 😁 ) A heartfelt thank you to each of you for joining us on this journey and.... for your patience with our less-than-frequent updates here and on our website! We admit: consistency has not been our strongest point (yet). The good news? More regular updates and fresh content are coming soon. In the meantime, we kindly ask you to help us spread the word, because milestones are much more meaningful when shared. Here’s to the next chapter, and to keeping the irony only in our tone, not in our commitment. 😊

When the ground shifts, what keeps us steady? International development is changing fast — climate shocks, debt crises, and growing inequalities are reshaping the landscape. The recent Financing for Development Conference (FfD4) showed just how urgent — and fragile — global cooperation has become. At Agile Development Consulting (ADC), we believe that funds and mechanisms alone are not enough. What makes the difference is values. That’s why we are reaffirming our Charter of Value and Collaboration [https://lnkd.in/e922FZHW]: cooperation, inclusion, participation, integrity, sustainability, respect, mutual learning, and innovation. These are not lofty ideals — they are practical necessities for building trust, fairness, and lasting change. Read our latest reflection: Holding on to Values When the Ground Shifts: Agile Development Consulting’s Charter in a Changing World [https://lnkd.in/eQiixBrh] Let us know your thoughts and reflections! Follow ADC to join the conversation on making international cooperation more just, inclusive, and sustainable.

At Agile Development Consulting (ADC), we had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Stefano Capodagli, Chief Risk Officer at the Caribbean Development Bank, following the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), held in Seville under the auspices of the United Nations. 👉 What does the future of finance for development look like in a world of growing debt, climate urgency, and rising inequality? 👉 How can development banks and private capital work together to deliver real impact? With over 30 years at the forefront of finance, strategy, and international development, Stefano shared his expert perspective on the conference outcomes—and why values like trust, inclusion, and resilience must anchor financial innovation moving forward. 📰 Read the full interview on our website: https://lnkd.in/eC9Nq9BT #FinanceForDevelopment #FfD4 #UNConference #ClimateFinance #DebtReform #BlendedFinance #StrategicLeadership #DevelopmentFinance #AgileDevelopmentConsulting #CaribbeanDevelopmentBank #GlobalCooperation #SDGs #FinancialInclusion

💬What happens when policy experts, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities, private sector leaders, and international organizations sit at the same table to discuss and to act on the right to inclusive employment? 🌍Over two days in Madrid, the Capacity Building on Employment for Persons with Disabilities in the MENA Region, co-organized by the Union for the Mediterranean and the Spanish National Organization of the Blind (Grupo Social ONCE) with the support of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, gathered committed stakeholders from across the Mediterranean to do exactly that. 🎯The focus: translating rights into inclusive employment outcomes. 📌What did we share, discuss, and learn? Here are the main headlines: 🛠️Informality of employment remains a significant issue, with persons with disabilities overrepresented in the MENA informal economy. This can be addressed from different angles: transition to formal employment remains the ultimate goal, but greater attention to security, accessibility, and care and support to workers with disabilities, regardless of their employment situation, cannot be disregarded. This is particularly true for women and youth with disabilities, who are subject to multiple, intersecting forms of discrimination. 💰Disability benefits shall focus on the extra costs of disability and be compatible with income from employment. 🌱💻Green and digital transitions are not yet accessible enough, and both must be reimagined to include persons with disabilities from the start. 🏢Private sector involvement is crucial but needs stronger bridges, dedicated awareness raising, and ongoing support. Organizations of Persons with Disabilities cannot be left at the margin of this approach, and networks and good practices already exist in the region. We have to build on the existent! 🤝Facilitating diverse, regional dialogue works, if done right: ✅accessibility from the onset, not as an afterthought; ✅no multitasking; ✅challenge ideas, not people; ✅leave space for all” These simple rules shaped a truly inclusive and constructive exchange. 🚀The meeting wasn’t an end in itself, but a catalyst. The next milestone? Keep following us for more and better! 🙏Special thanks to the UfM team Anna Dorangricchia Giulia Maria Ferraresi, ONCE Social Group María Ayllón Toubes Edurne Alvarez de Mon, ILO, GIZ, EDF, AOPD and all the participants for their expertise, honesty, and commitment to equity. https://lnkd.in/eC9Nq9BT #Inclusion #DisabilityRights #Employment #UfM #MENA #CRPD #SocialJustice #Accessibility #HumanRights #OPDs #InclusiveWorkplace #Mediterranean
