Radiopharmaceuticals are having a moment — and ESMO 2025 proved it. From prostate cancer to neuroendocrine tumors, the data presented last week showcased the transformative potential of targeted radioligand therapies: ·        Novartis’ Pluvicto showed a 28% reduction in progression risk in mHSPC (PSMAddition trial) ·        Perspective Therapeutics reported an 80% 9-month PFS in NETs with [212Pb]VMT-α-NET ·        ITM’s COMPETE trial demonstrated a 4x improvement in PFS for GEP-NETs ·        AdvanCell’s 212Pb-ADVC001 showed promising safety and efficacy in mCRPC ·        A novel combo of Triapine + 177Lu-dotatate is pushing boundaries in GEP-NETs The pipeline is now expanding beyond PSMA and SSTR2 — with targets like FAP, HER2, CD46 and CXCR4 gaining traction. As alpha emitters and combination strategies mature, we’re entering a new era of precision oncology powered by radiopharmaceuticals.
