CoARA-ERIP is proud to see Gitanjali Yadav, one of our co-chairs, driving together innovation in the life sciences with innovation in research assessment. This is how we can bring about fundamental changes to science and education that reflect the needs of today's society.

One of CoARA-ERIP's many objectives is to foster dialogue on the challenges and opportunities presented by the use of #GenerativeAI in research and research assessment. So we were very proud to present some of our ideas on building research assessment systems that can adapt and evolve with changing cultures and technologies to keep science #inclusive and #impactful at the #WSF2024. Our Co-chair and President of Eurodoc, Pil Maria Saugmann shared insights into how AI and #data are changing research practices, and particularly affecting doctoral researchers and #EMCRs, and why #ethics and #ResearchIntegrity must underpin and bolster all research undertakings to empower young researchers to use and assess digital objects responsibly for scientific progress.

The November CODATA data policy #IDPC meeting is underway, Co-chairs Jennifer Qian and Gitanjali Yadav lead the discussion on #CoARA-ERIP Working Group & IDPC Handbook Overview / Editorial Guidance, but conversations took an exciting new turn with Virginia Murray presenting the wonderful new UNESCO-CODATA global consultation on Developing data policies for #crisis situations facilitated by #open #science! Great introduction to Laura Biven from Jefferson Lab on #FAIR services to components of Data Ecosystems!
