Furniture that Pays Respect to Architecture - Learning the Design Philosophy Behind the Reborn Collection The Reborn Collection has been captured in a serene and stylish outdoor lounge setting styled by photographer Fanny Amanda Nilsson, at her modern family home on Sweden’s West Coast. “They look like soft clouds on our terrace, yet they don’t steal the attention. They match the colours of the wooden patio and window frames perfectly.” Fanny shared with us. This insight perfectly aligns with our design philosophy behind the Reborn Collection. Commissioned by the Italian furniture manufacturer SLIDE srl, we designed the Reborn Collection to quietly and elegantly complement its surroundings, both in natural and architectural contexts. In designing the collection, we had in mind the architectural styles that emphasise high-quality materials and balanced proportions. The Reborn pieces are thoughtfully created to seamlessly integrate into environments that reflect the same level of aesthetic refinement. https://lnkd.in/eF8ncSFV #outdoorspace #terracedesign #outdoorfurniture #exterior #architecture #RebornCollection #ecoBirdy #SLIDEDesign

  • Interior Styling: How to Pair Modern and Classic Elements Effortlessly? The light tinted herringbone parquet, linen curtains and decorative plaster ceiling create a luxurious atmosphere. The space is furnished with a classic wooden dresser and a modern, intriguing lamp. A distinctive silhouette is created by the modern Richard Armchair and Judy Side Table. The style and its calming appearance is defined by the bright, neutral colour tones and curvy lines that are present in the various furniture pieces and decorative elements. The minimalistic space features unified light blue walls and a staircase which runs diagonally, adding dynamics to the storyline and creating seamless transitions between different settings. With denim blue being the base colour of the collaborative travel collection of Gap x BÉIS, every detail of the set is thoughtfully curated to match the collection pieces and create a blue world in a dollhouse-like surreal atmosphere. We are excited that our iconic children’s furniture has been featured in this uniquely art-directed campaign. The table and chairs are one of the few selected furniture pieces in the space and add a family-oriented spirit to the everyday environment. https://lnkd.in/e7rXvTCQ

  • How to Fit Recycled Plastic, Wabi Sabi and Jewellery Together Beautifully? Learn from ecoBirdy at AR.M Jewellery Store Wabi Sabi is a Japanese philosophy that finds beauty in imperfection, authenticity, and the natural passage of time. Similar to this principle, ecoBirdy’s patented process and unique material ecothylene®, highlights the value of transformation over perfection. The recycling process produces unpredictable, variable patterns naturally, making each furniture piece one of a kind. This design ethos comes to life in Anna Rosa Moschouti’s jewellery store in Antwerp, where ecoBirdy’s Marine Mirror and Marine Side Tables are seamlessly integrated into a Wabi Sabi inspired commercial space. The interior features untreated stone, weathered wood and clay-like limewash walls. Beauty is found in the details and merges the timeless elegance in the jewellery pieces. The asymmetrical silhouettes and grounding presence of ecoBirdy’s designs resonate with the soothing beauty of natural forms. Translating Wabi Sabi’s value of rawness and slow-appreciation, the Marine Collection’s tactile surfaces and sculptural quality invite a mindful connection between human and objects, adding smooth flow and balance to the environment. Wabi Sabi’s colour palette is led by neutral tones. ecoBirdy’s Stony-Grey colourway adds depth to the concrete-like grey base with fine, multicoloured speckles sourced from recycled household plastic. It’s both subtle and intentional. When presenting the refined jewellery pieces, the gold and silver sparkle a graceful glow. Elegant simplicity reinforces the expression of the Wabi Sabi philosophy. How to Create a Community-Driven Brick-and-Mortar Retail Store? Step Inside the Curated World of The Archive Store Amsterdam In the historic heart of Amsterdam, among iconic canal houses and brick-paved streets, right at the corner across a typical arched bridge, The Archive Store welcomes you in a story-filled space. Inside, the soft glow of golden lighting, hand-stitched cushions, floral-patterned linens and lace-framed letters create a warm atmosphere. Each corner is heartfully curated to decorate a cosy nursery. Founded in 2015 by Anna and Martine, The Archive Store was born from a desire to curate meaningful, beautiful objects for parents and their little ones. They call it ‘the home of the little gatherer’, where contemporary design meets handcrafted treasures. Every product is carefully selected for its quality, character, and story. “We love creating our own little world and gathering beautiful products that have a meaningful story, like ecoBirdy’s furniture,” Anna and Martine share. “We build trusted, long-term partnerships with our suppliers and aim to offer products that support talented artisans. Our hope is to inspire adults to rediscover a childlike sense of wonder and find joy in products that speak to the whole family.” To introduce ecoBirdy’s new Marine Collection to the local community in Amsterdam, we hosted a launch event together with The Archive Store. Both parents and kids could explore the new pieces up close, we had conversations about design, sustainability, and the joys of parenthood. We learned how our furniture is imagined in real homes, in playful corners, new nurseries, or shared family spaces. Their honest and enthusiastic feedback gave us valuable insights and reaffirmed the importance of creating pieces that are functional, sustainably made and aesthetically engaging. The Archive Store’s commitment to in-person story-led retail has a unique value for us. With their authentic decoration style and selection of products, the store brings our designs into the lives of people who value craftsmanship, sustainability, and a purposeful lifestyle. #localretail #communitydriven #brickandmortarvalues #conceptstore #kids #TheArchiveStore #Amsterdam #MarineCollection #ecoBirdy
