🌍 Last week, we joined global leaders and impact investors at the World Economic Forum’s Humanitarian and Resilience Investing (HRI) meeting in Geneva. HRI is a call to mobilise $10 billion and scale 1,000 businesses in frontier markets by 2030. 💬 Our CEO, Jean Van Wetter, took part in the panel “Future of Aid, Development and Impact Investment” - together with Raj Kumar (Devex), Catherine Cax (Soros Economic Development Fund), Francis N. (Keep IT Cool | Earthshot Prize Winner 24) and Kanini Mutooni (DRK Foundation). Together, they explored how to rethink collaboration between development actors, the private sector and investors to unlock sustainable growth in frontier markets. 🏛️ Hosted at Villa Mundi - Geneva’s new “mini-Davos” - the discussions were a reminder that development isn’t just about capital. It’s about courage, clarity, and collaboration. It’s about creating spaces that connect people, ideas, and purpose. 🙏 Thank you to our fellow panellists and the HRI community for the inspiring exchange and for their shared commitment to driving meaningful change. 💪 Enabel remains dedicated to bridging cooperation and investment - turning challenges into opportunities for lasting impact. #EnablingChange #ActForImpact #Collaboration Andrej Kirn Lisa Satolli SPF Affaires étrangères, Commerce extérieur et Coopération au Développement

📰 From journalism to international cooperation 🌍 In 2016, Annelies Van Erp made the leap from journalist at Knack to communications officer at Vétérinaires Sans Frontières - Dierenartsen Zonder Grenzen Belgium through Enabel’s Junior Programme - following her curiosity and ideals. In Burkina Faso, she discovered that communication in international cooperation is more than writing good stories: “I learned to deal consciously with power relations. Listening, asking questions, and sharing results with partners - communication must go both ways.” 💬 Today, Annelies brings together both her passions for media and cooperation as press officer at Search for Common Ground, working on peacebuilding and dialogue. 🕊️ At Enabel, we’re proud to see our former Junior Experts growing and making a difference in international cooperation. 💪 🔎 Learn more about Annelies’path: t.ly/BthBL --- 📰 Van journalistiek naar internationale samenwerking 🌍 In 2016 maakte Annelies Van Erp de overstap van journalist bij Knack online naar communicatiemedewerker bij Vétérinaires Sans Frontières - Dierenartsen Zonder Grenzen Belgium via het Juniorprogramma van Enabel.
