💧 Every drop makes a difference. Water sustains life, ecosystems, and industries around the world — and it’s also essential in creating materials like fibre cement, plaster, calcium silicate, and insulation. That’s why Water and Biodiversity is one of our six key priorities on the #RoadToSustainability2030. In Chile, our Maipú plant team has shown what this commitment looks like in action. 🇨🇱 In 2024, they introduced new ways to reuse and recycle water, reducing the plant’s water use by 18%. And in 2025, their work will save more than 4,100 m³ of water each month — the equivalent of over one and a half Olympic-sized swimming pools! 🏊 👏 A big thank-you to our Maipú teammates for driving progress and proving that meaningful change starts locally. #UnitedToInspire #InspiringWaysOfLiving

🏗️ What matters most whe choosing a building material? We asked, you answered, and the results speak volumes. 👇 While speed and simplicity have their place, it’s clear that long-lasting performance is what truly resonates with you. That tells us one thing: you expect quality. And that’s exactly what our lightweight solutions are designed to deliver. We’re also encouraged to see that sustainability and price are also top of mind. It’s a delicate balance, and your feedback helps us keep it front and center. Thank you for showing us what you value most! #LightweightConstruction #UnitedToInspire #InspiringWaysOfLiving

At Etex, we believe innovation and collaboration are key to solving Europe’s housing challenge. Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Borja Giménez Larraz, Member of the European Parliament, to Pladur’s plasterboard factory in Gelsa, Spain.    As rapporteur of the European Parliament’s Housing Committee, Mr Giménez Larraz is closely involved in shaping EU policies that will address the lack of affordable housing in Europe.    Some key takeaways from the visit:  🔸 Lightweight construction enables faster, more affordable, efficient, sustainable and safer building — using recyclable materials and cutting emissions by up to 40%. Combined with offsite construction, it can reduce construction time by up to 60% and costs by up to 30%.   🔸 Energy efficiency through insulation remains the most effective way to reduce energy bills and improve living comfort, especially for vulnerable households.   🔸 Raw materials are key for future construction activities, requiring a stronger recycling infrastructure. Secure access to both primary and secondary raw materials is required to advance circular construction. We thank Mr Giménez Larraz for his visit and the constructive dialogue. As a leading player in lightweight construction solutions, Etex is happy to contribute to the housing policy discussion, sharing best practices that will allow to address the housing crisis. 🇺🇦 Building hope, one skill at a time. In Ukraine, trainers from technical schools came together for a hands-on session on plasterboard installation. Our Siniat by Etex team in Ukraine collaborated with Enabel, Belgium’s agency for international cooperation that supports the strengthening of professional skills, to help trainers gain practical expertise in lightweight construction. These skills will be vital when the time comes to rebuild homes and communities. 🙏 Thank you to everyone who made this meaningful project possible. Together, we’re proving that knowledge can lay the foundation for a brighter future. #EmpoweringBetterLiving #UnitedToInspire #InspiringWaysOfLiving
