How can we better support the mental wellbeing of aged care workers? 📑 A new systematic review led by Support4Resilience researchers explores this critical question by analyzing 89 studies across 24 countries. The result? A powerful multi-level model identifying the micro-, meso-, and macro-level factors that influence care workers’ mental health. 🔍 The findings highlight a clear message: while individual-focused interventions (like mindfulness or stress management) are helpful, long-term impact depends on organisational and system-level action. 🌟 Today we have presented our Life Sciences Strategy – an ambitious roadmap to make Europe a global leader in science by 2030.   The health sector accounts for an overwhelming proportion of life sciences in Europe - 80% of the value of the overall biotech market. That is why supporting innovation, research and investment in the health sector is such a high priority for us.   💡 How? ✅ Our pharma reform proposal will create a more modern, flexible and stable ecosphere for medicines in Europe. It will cut red tape, streamline processes and allow innovative technologies to be tested in real-life conditions.   ✅ The Biotech Act will be a groundbreaking initiative to support life sciences across Europe. It will focus on breaking down existing barriers and helping to bring biotechnologies from the laboratory, to the factory, to the market.   ✅ The European Health Dataspace (EHDS) will standardize and harmonize health data across the EU. This will make it easier for researchers and biotech companies to access large, diverse, and interoperable datasets, and open opportunities for multi-country studies.   ✅ Our evaluation of the Medical Devices legislation should lead to revised, simplified EU rules, adapted to technological advancements and pioneering products.   ✅ For clinical trials, we will also seek to improve the ecosystem, by supporting clinical trial centres and networks. As part of our communication and stakeholder engagement strategy, HaDEA management has been visiting EU countries. Our main objectives are to raise awareness about EU funding opportunities, engage with local authorities, national contact points and potential applicants, and gain a deeper understanding of their needs. Our recent visit to Lithuania was a significant step in strengthening ties with local stakeholders and highlighting EU funding opportunities. We participated in the 'EU Funding Opportunities for Lithuania' conference in Vilnius, organised by the Research Council of Lithuania | Lietuvos mokslo taryba and National Contact Points (NCPs) Our representatives presented EU funding opportunities managed by HaDEA and shared insights on how EU programmes like Horizon Europe, EU4Health, Digital Europe, and CEF Digital can empower Lithuania’s institutions, researchers, innovators and businesses. ALTHEA, Desipoc & MELODIC have just wrapped up a productive synergy meeting in Paphos, Cyprus! HaDEA has signed new framework contracts under the #EU4Health programme to strengthen the EU's health emergency preparedness and response mechanisms. ✍✔️ These contracts, divided into two Lots, focus on intelligence gathering on cross-border health threats and medical countermeasures (MCMs), indicating a comprehensive approach to health security. 🌍 The curtains close on another incredible edition of the Living Planet Symposium - #LPS25 Bringing together over 6 000 participants, LPS offered a week of interactive sessions, knowledge sharing and networking opportunities for the international #EarthObservation community. 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 SALTO — 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲’𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻 The SALTO project is funded by Horizon Europe under the EU Space Research and Innovation (R&I) Work Programme. It is the largest Space R&I project directly managed by HaDEA. Launcher reusability is a cornerstone of Europe’s ambition to enhance its autonomous #AccessToSpace. SALTO builds on the European Space Agency - ESA Themis T1H reusable first stage prototype. The project focuses on key technology for reusability and includes an ambitious flight test campaign involving three low-altitude flights and landings.   🚀 The Themis T1H vehicle has now successfully arrived at the #Esrange Space Centre (SSC - Swedish Space Corporation) in Kiruna, Sweden.
