🏭 How to turn #ConnectedMachines into data-driven insights Our Industrial AI team works with leading machinery manufacturers. One of the recurring pains we tackle is the lack of visibility into how machines are actually being used. And without that visibility, there’s no real control over OEE, you can’t optimise what you can’t see. One of our partners came to us with a clear challenge. They had IoT telemetry streaming from thousands of machines worldwide, but no visibility into how those machines were actually being used. ❓Are customers running the machines efficiently? ❓Which applications dominate in which regions? ❓Is the right program being used ifor the intended applications? ❓Where is energy being wasted? ❓Which applications dominate in which regions? Without those answers, engineers couldn’t optimise design, sales teams couldn’t recommend better-fit equipment, and customers were burning fuel and uptime without knowing it. So, together we built an Industrial AI pipeline that transformed raw telemetry into actionable insight. 🔍 We engineered hundreds of features to capture machine behaviour, from load profiles to idle patterns and energy spikes. 🧩 We clustered similar usage patterns, uncovering how machines truly operated across regions and industries. 🏷️ Using hybrid labelling: expert knowledge plus automation. We trained models to recognise these patterns automatically. ⚡ Data pipelines now process every new run in real time, and dashboards visualise how machines perform, where inefficiencies appear, and where savings are possible. The results: ✅15% less unplanned downtime in six months ✅Immediate energy savings from reduced idling ✅Product and sales teams aligned on real-world usage ✅A scalable foundation for predictive maintenance and smarter marketing This is Industrial AI in action: where IoT data, ML engineering, and domain expertise combine to deliver measurable business value. Take a step back. Step away from the daily noise about 'super intelligence' and model races. When you zoom out, you start to see the real shift: Intelligence, especially in business, isn’t really about computation. It’s about coordination. Daarin zijn er zeker nog aanzienlijk wat interessante use cases in de context van assets, maintenance, process optimisation en automation. 💭 Use cases, ROI, AI Translators, prototypes & upscaling, low-hanging fruit, agentic workflows,... 💡De boodschap: denk niet in AI-categorieën, denk in data, taken, processen en workflows. 💡Denk in ROI, AI is een investering met bij voorkeur een ROI < 12m. 💡Let's try harder, elke expert wordt verwacht een AI Translator te zijn, die volop de beschikbare tools inzet en de lat zo hoger legt. #Agentic of #deterministisch? Maakt niet uit. Met de juiste mix bouw je gewoon waarde.
