Last week, our Electrical Engineers set out for a day full of fun and adventure! We hit the road early and carpooled across the border to Phantasialand. ✨🎢 The conditions were perfect, with great weather and hardly any crowds. 🌤️ Between the laughter on thrilling roller coasters and getting soaked on the water rides, we took a break for a simple but delicious German lunch: bratwurst with fries. 🌭 After a day packed with speed, adrenaline, and fun, everyone was pleasantly exhausted. What does it take to power Europe’s first electric RSD tugboat? 🛥️ At Port of Antwerp-Bruges, boatloads of high-level ambition are docking every day. By 2050, the port aims to be climate-neutral. A first step towards that goal is decarbonising the fleet - with Volta 1 leading the way. We delivered a game-changing expansion of the high-voltage grid to enable Volta 1 - Europe’s first electric RSD tugboat - to charge efficiently and reliably.
