Our solutions help make clinical trial supply safer, faster, and more effective. This October served as a vital reminder that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. To raise awareness, we organized a Pink Breakfast and participated in the Race for the Cure organized by Think Pink, as we do every year. Together, let’s advance research and prevention. 🩷

Europe’s electricity market is undergoing a historic transformation. As renewable energy sources like wind and solar become central to power generation, the market needs to evolve to remain efficient, reliable, and sustainable. On September 30, a major step forward was achieved: the day-ahead auction that sets electricity prices across Europe was moved to 15-minute trading intervals instead of the traditional hourly blocks. This shift makes it possible to better align electricity demand with renewable production, for example, when the wind picks up or clouds pass over solar farms. Electricity prices can now more accurately reflect real-time conditions, enabling a smarter use of clean energy. At N-SIDE, we are proud to have played a pivotal role in this achievement. Our experts contributed to the optimization of EUPHEMIA, the algorithm developed by N-SIDE and used by European Power Exchanges to calculate day-ahead prices. This upgrade required processing a much larger number of bids and network constraints within a tight timeframe, a challenge made possible by N-SIDE’s advanced mathematical and computational expertise. This evolution reflects Europe's strategy to make electricity markets ready for the future while ensuring a stable and affordable energy supply for millions of people. We warmly thank our dedicated team, along with the Nominated Electricity Market Operators (NEMOs) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs) from the SDAC-MSD project, for their invaluable collaboration over the years. A double celebration set a special tone for a memorable N-SIDE moment! Last week, N-SIDE kicked off its new fiscal year and celebrated a major milestone: 25 years of innovation, growth, and positive impact. 🚀 From our beginnings as a Belgian start-up to becoming a global scale-up of 200+ people from 30+ nationalities, we’ve remained true to our mission: empowering businesses to make smarter decisions by optimizing their use of resources, driving efficiency, resilience, and sustainability. As we step into fiscal year 26 we reaffirm what makes us unique: a strong vision, a caring culture, a commitment to excellence, and an endless drive to learn, innovate, and grow together. A heartfelt thank you to all N-SIDErs, partners, and customers who have shaped our journey so far. The celebration at Musée Hergé was more than a party. It was also an opportunity to give a first glimpse of our new website and refreshed visual identity, and a tribute to our collective achievements and the exciting road ahead. Smooth moves for a smoother future in mobility! This week, our CEO Philippe Chevalier and colleagues pedaled their way to a smoothie during a special "Mobility week" breakfast 🍓. However, at N-SIDE, sustainable mobility is much more than a one-week initiative. Over the past years, our Mobility expert Nicolas Van Zeebroeck has taken bold steps to reshape the way N-SIDErs move: ✅ 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁: 40% of our employees have switched to a full mobility budget, giving up their company car (vs 0% in 2019). ✅ 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗲𝘁: Since 2021, no new diesel or gas cars are ordered. 38% of our fleet is already fully electric and we have installed over 50 charging stations at employees' homes. ✅ 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: Our new location was chosen for its easy access to public transport, with over 100 bike parking spots and shared e-bikes for everyone. ✅ 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀: We provide tailored "mobility interviews" to help each colleague find the solution that fits their needs best. And we are just getting started: by 2030, our goal is a 100% electric fleet and over 80% adoption of the mobility budget. At N-SIDE, mobility isn’t just a campaign. Operating since December 2023 from our Tokyo base at CIC Japan, our team of experts empowers businesses in Japan and across APAC to adopt state-of-the-art mathematical and AI technologies, enabling them to maximise efficiency, reduce waste, and manage risks. Thanks to the support of Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX), we are honored to represent Belgium’s expertise in health & biotech internationally and to help build bridges between two innovation-driven nations.
