With 15 Belgian companies presenting their innovations together, this was the largest Belgian presence ever, made possible thanks to the Belgian Nuclear Forum, Agoria and BNS - Belgian Nuclear Society, who coordinated and united all participants under one strong Belgian banner. The pavilion was officially opened by Belgian Minister of Energy Mathieu Bihet, highlighting Belgium’s renewed commitment to nuclear energy as a key pillar for a sustainable, secure and independent energy future. #DenysCivilEngineering • Since early Saturday morning, traffic on the Antwerp Ring towards the Netherlands no longer runs over the Merksem viaduct, but over the brand-new Bypass, a temporary motorway built parallel to the Ring. This complex switch marks a major step forward in the overall Oosterweel works, keeping traffic safely flowing while the old viaduct is dismantled and construction of the new Ring continues. Designing and realising this temporary highway, with all its intricate alignments, signalling systems and logistics was a true technical feat, made possible thanks to seamless coordination between all partners involved. #DenysBuildings • Today, we officially laid the first stone for the new Maricolen school campus. A milestone for all parties involved, in a journey that began back in 2018. After years of preparation, redesign, dedication and teamwork, construction is well underway. The new campus will become a home for 1,500 pupils, spread across four connected buildings surrounded by open, green space. During the first stone ceremony, six children from kindergarten to secondary shared their drawings, dreams and words about the school and their future. Their messages were sealed inside a time capsule, to be opened again in 30 years, once the maintenance phase of the project has come to an end. Koenraad De Ceuninck, mayor of Maldegem, and Nicole De Smet, Chairwoman of vzw VKOM, highlighted the commitment of all parties involved, their teamwork and the importance of this project for the local community and future generations. #DenysEnergies • In Rotterdam, Denys has completed the final pipe crossing for the Porthos onshore pipeline: a milestone in the construction of the Porthos CO2 infrastructure. Our Do-Dreamers crossed the dynamic Rotterdam port area for the construction of the Porthos onshore CO2 collection pipeline, consisting of 30 km of 42“ low-pressure and approximately 4 km of 16” high-pressure pipeline. Meanwhile, the first pipeline section has been successfully tested and commissioned, and the next section tests phases are being prepared. In the coming months, Denys will focus on installing the future connections to the onshore collection pipeline and on linking it to the offshore pipeline within the concrete trench. #DenysEnergies • With our partners, Denys completed the construction of the Porthos onshore pipeline in Rotterdam last week. Coming in at about 30 kilometres, it largely follows the route along the A15 motorway, from Pernis to the Maasvlakte. Via this pipeline, the CO₂ captured from industrial installations in the Rotterdam port area will be transported to the compressor station, and from there pumped in empty, former gas fields under the North Sea via an offshore pipeline. In the meantime, our teams are working on the next phase of the project: the installation of 11 valve stations. These stations form the link between the carbon capture installations of the participating companies and the onshore collection pipeline. By January 2026, they will be installed at strategic points along the route so that the first customers – Air Liquide, Air Products, ExxonMobil and Shell – as well as future customers can be connected directly. #DenysCivilWorks • Today marks an important milestone in Belgium’s management of radioactive waste, as #PrimeMinister Bart De Wever laid the foundation stone for ONDRAF/NIRAS's surface disposal facility in Dessel, where the country’s low- and intermediate-level short-lived waste will be safely stored. Denys, as contractor for the electromechanical part of this project, is responsible for the advanced logistics and automation systems that will transport and place more than 28,000 concrete monoliths into their final repository. This includes railway infrastructure, specialized transport systems, overhead cranes, and all supporting electrical installations. With decades of experience and innovation in railway works, logistics, and the nuclear sector, Denys has contributed to projects in Flamanville (FR), Borssele (NL), Hinkley Point & Sizewell (UK), and Doel (BE). Across all these projects, we have proven our ability to deliver to the highest standards of safety, quality, and reliability. #DenysCivilWorks • This weekend, in partnership with Colas Belgium, Denys successfully installed the steel structure of the first of two pedestrian and cycle bridges at the Sainctelette Square in Brussels.   The new bridge, a 37-metre-long structure weighing nearly 110 tonnes, was carefully positioned across the canal with exceptional precision. Originally constructed in the Geel region, the bridge was transported to Brussels via the Albert Canal and the Scheldt before being placed on its foundations.   Prior to installation, Denys prepared the site by constructing abutments and reinforcing the existing foundations. In the 2 months ahead, our teams will continue with the installation of precast slabs and reinforcement, followed by the casting of approximately 100 m³ of concrete. Final breakthrough of the Tunnel Boring Machine Lady Madrid 👏 Last Friday, after more than 4,500 meters excavation, our TBM Lady Madrid has reached its final destination at the Los Álamos arrival shaft. This marked the successful completion of the Pozuelo de Alarcón interceptor project. This breakthrough is not only a construction achievement but also a key step towards improving water management and strengthening underground infrastructure, vital for the sustainable development of the area, enabling new urban developments with 7,500 homes in the Madrid suburb of Pozuelo de Alarcón.   The successful achievement of this project is the merit of the skilled teams of Denys and EUROHINCA, as subcontractors for ASCH INFRAESTRUCTURAS Y SERVICIOS S.A. and Grupo Marco.
