🎬 NIS2, the Movie? No, NIS2 is not the latest James Bond film… But it might be playing out in your organisation. NIS2 is a European directive that requires certain companies to take cybersecurity and business continuity seriously. Some see it as a burden. At Privatum, we see it as an opportunity, a chance to build trust , improve processes and strengthen your reputation. Here’s how we help organisations turn that opportunity into impact: ✅ We translate complex rules into practical actions. 💡 We make sure you actually benefit from compliance. 🗣️ And we keep it clear, light and understandable. No thick reports, just concrete guidance that helps you move forward. Curious to discover our positive approach to NIS2? Let’s meet! 📩 Mail us at [email protected] and we’ll get in touch for a chat.

  • Meet Koen Baens, Security & Data Privacy Advisor at Privatum* since the end of 2023. Coming from a musical family, Koen’s passion for music started early. With a grandfather in the local brass band and a tradition of playing instruments running through the family, picking up the trumpet was a natural step. For Koen, music has been more than a hobby, it’s a school of discipline and collaboration. Consistency, perseverance, teamwork, and leadership are all qualities he has developed through playing in orchestras and ensembles. These skills translate seamlessly into his professional life, where staying up to date, pushing limits, and working effectively in teams are essential to success. Above all, music remains a source of joy. For Koen, nothing compares to the energy of making music together with others who share the same passion, a reminder that growth and enjoyment can go hand in hand. • Every day, many people fight invisible illnesses. At Privatum*, we also help our clients in their daily battle against invisible enemies: cyber threats. So we understand what it means to fight what others cannot see and the weight that comes with it. That is why this year we are supporting De Warmste Week. All proceeds will go to organizations that support people living with invisible illnesses. For just €7, you can purchase a Privatum candy bag to make a difference. A small sweet gesture that says: we see you and you have our support. 👉 Order your bag via [email protected] and join the fight. Together, let’s make the invisible visible. #Privatum #AlanAllmanAssociates #WarmsteWeek

  • The current cyber incident at Brussels Airport Company (BAC) highlights the importance of some often-overlooked processes and procedures in information security. Which lessons can we learn from the cyber incident at Brussels Airport (BAC)? 1️⃣ Mapping your suppliers (Third Party Risk Management) No organization operates in isolation: suppliers and partners are an essential part of your business processes. That’s why it’s crucial to properly map and assess them: - Which suppliers do I work with? - How critical are their services/solutions for my operations? - How much risk exposure do they create for me? - … In short: information security doesn’t stop at the boundaries of your own organization. 2️⃣ When things go wrong: the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) No system is 100% foolproof. The question is not if something will go wrong, but when. The real challenge is: how do you keep operating? Can you temporarily switch to other tools, like pen and paper (as BAC did)? Which critical processes must absolutely keep running? … Brussels Airport provided a strong example here: despite the incident, fewer than 10% of flights had to be canceled. Within four working days, they were already back at 90% capacity. That’s a result many organizations can only dream of. 3️⃣ Information security is more than just technology This incident proves once again that cybersecurity is not just about technical solutions. Processes and procedures are equally important. They provide stability in times of crisis and allow you to act quickly and decisively. 💡 Curious how we approach this at Privatum* and how we can help protect your organization against these risks? Don’t hesitate to reach out. #Privatum #AlanAllmanAssociates #InformationSecurity

Meet Stephanie Wertelaers, Business Development Manager at Privatum* since the end of 2022. Her passion for photography started at a young age, when capturing moments through photos and videos became her way of telling stories and creating memories. Through photography, Stephanie has developed both technical and personal skills, from visual insight and editing to empathy, communication, and adaptability. Building a connection with the person in front of the lens is just as important as the technical side. In her role at Privatum, these same qualities help her understand client needs, tailor her approach, and build long-term relationships. Just like behind the camera, she knows how to listen, connect, and bring ideas to life. Want to join a team where passion meets expertise?
