🎉 10 years of the Single Resolution Mechanism: achievements and the road ahead At SRM 10th Anniversary Conference, the Single Resolution Board Chair, Dominique Laboureix, opened the event by reflecting on a decade of protecting financial stability in Europe - and on the road ahead. Over the past ten years, the SRB and National Resolution Authorities have turned a new framework into a credible and effective system, proving that bank resolution works in practice. Some key milestones speak for themselves: 💶 Over €2.6 trillion in loss-absorbing capacity built by Banking Union banks 🏦 Around €80 billion in the Single Resolution Fund, ready if needed 📝 About 150 resolution plans drafted and updated each year Looking forward, the Chair underlined the SRB’s commitment to ensuring the SRM remains effective, simple and fit for purpose, while preparing for emerging risks - from new banking models to the growing importance of non-bank financial institutions. As Mr Laboureix concluded: “We shall not rest on our good results but remain vigilant, ready to improve and always on the lookout for new risks.” 👉 Read the full speech here: https://lnkd.in/epjVpKjQ #SRM10 #SRB #BankingUnion #FinancialStability #CrisisManagement #Resolution

#srm10 #resolutie #denederlandschebank
🔎 Panel 2 - Towards a complete Banking Union and a simpler framework that works for everybody. What’s next for the EU resolution framework? Join our speakers: · Karen Braun-Munzinger, Board Member at the Single Resolution Board; · Héctor Grisi Checa, CEO of Santander Group; · Priscille Szeradzki, President of the European Association of Co-operative Banks & Deputy CEO of the Confédération Nationale du Crédit Mutuel; · Cindy van Oorschot, Executive Board Member at De Nederlandsche Bank. The panel will be moderated by financial journalist Raymond Frenken. 🔗 Join us online in the Auditorum virtual room| https://lnkd.in/eNYKApRA Take part in the live discussions via Slido event code #SRM10 or by scanning the QR code during the live webstream #SRM10 #BankingUnion #EUFinance #SRBresolution2025
