You can’t fix what you can’t see. Across the industry, we’re seeing a quiet trend: modules are getting larger, thinner, and more fragile. That thinner glass and lighter frame design help lower costs, but they also make modules more prone to fine cracks and delamination that don’t show up in your SCADA data (until it’s too late). These cracks often start small, pressure from mounting brackets, thermal stress, even transport vibration. Over time, they spread, reduce insulation, and eat into your yield. You can’t reliably spot them from the ground. That’s why UHD drone inspections are becoming an essential O&M tool. With ultra-high-resolution RGB imagery, you can: 👉 Detect hairline cracks and glass damage early 👉 Pinpoint exact module locations for repair 👉 Keep your team out of high-risk areasIn short: see the invisible, act faster, and protect your asset’s lifetime output. How often do you include visual UHD scans in your maintenance cycle? #Thermography #GlassBreakage

40+ solar sites. One platform. Zero chaos. Here’s how Omexom France scaled digital construction: When your project data lives in spreadsheets, small issues quickly snowball: delays, miscommunication, rework. Omexom decided to change that. They started with one pilot site… and turned it into a multi-site digital rollout using Sitemark’s real-time construction monitoring. Now, every team, from HQ to field, sees the same data, every day. No more chasing updates. 📖 Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/eVj5BrNX

Most drone thermography models are optimized for crystalline PV panels. But thin-film modules play by different rules. During our latest inspections, we uncovered recurring challenges unique to thin-film solar systems, and how they impact data accuracy and maintenance. 🔍 Read our deep dive on how to adapt inspection strategies for thin-film modules: https://lnkd.in/e-9GKDKJ

What a great experience at Energyear Italia 🇮🇹! I had the pleasure of attending as the new Account Executive at Sitemark, together with the amazing Rossella Serafino — and, in an unexpected twist of events, I also had the honour to join the panel of speakers last minute, stepping in for our founder Stanislas Van Der Vaeren who unfortunately couldn’t make it. A huge thank you to Annarita Mitola for flawlessly moderating the panel and for the last minute changes. Congratulations to my fellow speakers Giorgio Inforzato, Sebastiano Masini, and Alessandra Ugoli for an insightful and high-level discussion on High-Impact Asset Management. It was a great honor to attend the panel together and have a discussion on such an important topic, critical to the energy transition. I truly enjoyed meeting lots of new professionals in the PV industry and to saying hi to old friends during the two trade show days in Milan. I'm truly excited to continue these conversations and bring Sitemark’s vision to more partners across the solar industry. 📸 Sharing a few shots from the trade shows days! Cheers to a great event 🥂 #Energyear #SolarEnergy #AssetManagement #Renewables #Sitemark #Teamwork #Photovoltaic #EnergyTransition #Italy

Pile height is one of the biggest headaches in solar construction, and not many talk about it. Every EPC knows this problem: You drive the piles into the ground, try to attach the structure, but if it doesn’t align, you can’t attach it, and suddenly everything is off. Even small height deviations can cause significant issues down the line: rework, misalignment, structural stress, or even shading and tilt errors. Checking each one manually is slow, costly, and error-prone. That’s why at Sitemark we are seeing great results with drone-based pile height detection. Using photogrammetry, a drone can capture every pile in one flight and reconstruct a 3D model of the site. From that model, you can determine the top and bottom of each pile and compare it with design elevation, flagging those that deviate beyond tolerance (e.g. > 5 cm). Why this matters 👇 ✔️ Early detection prevents rework, misalignment, and shading losses. ✔️ You can focus only on the piles that actually need fixing. ✔️ On large projects, one flight can replace thousands of manual checks. Smarter construction monitoring could save solar projects time, labor, and unnecessary stress before a single module is even installed. Have you dealt with pile height issues on your sites? How are you checking alignment today? #SolarConstruction

Insights from Energyear Italy 2025: Our Account Executive Davide Cazzulo joined the panel discussion: 👉 “High-Impact Asset Management: Maximising Value Across the Asset Lifecycle” 💬 “Monitoring tells you what’s happening now. Forecasting tells you what will happen tomorrow. But decision-making tells you exactly what to do to optimize your outcomes. That’s where information turns into profit,” - as Davide shared during the discussion. 💡His point hit home: in today’s energy market, data-driven decision-making is a competitive advantage. Those who decide better and faster, win. During the panel, Davide also emphasized how integrating multi-source data, from SCADA, inverters, drones, and ERP systems, is the foundation for reliable insights. “It’s not about collecting more data,” he noted, “it’s about making sense of it.” At Sitemark, we’ve built a universal integration layer that unifies all these data sources into a single, actionable view. This allows operators and asset owners to: ✔️ Eliminate data silos ✔️ Automate manual work ✔️ Cut decision process from weeks to minutes When applied well, digital integration turns solar portfolios into transparent, bankable assets, unlocking faster due diligence, verifiable performance, and smarter investment decisions. A big thank you to Energyear for hosting an insightful edition!
