agentschap Maritieme Dienstverlening en Kust (MDK) & skeyes join forces for safe drone operations over the North Sea 🚁     🌊The Agency for Maritime and Coastal Services (MDK) and skeyes have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation on the safe use of drones over the North Sea.     🤝 Signed by Dr. ir. skeyes proudly took part in the YOUCA Action Day! 💪✈️     ✨ This year, we once again welcomed eight enthusiastic students who spent the day discovering what happens behind the scenes of Belgian #airtrafficcontrol.     💡 From learning about our airspace and visiting the training school’s tower simulator, to exploring our Navigation, Surveillance and Meteorology departments, and even getting a glimpse inside the control tower and CANAC2 (the air traffic control center).      🌍 The YOUCA vzw Action Day (Youth for Change and Action) gives young people the chance to work for a day and donate their wages to projects that empower youth worldwide.     This year’s edition was once again a great opportunity to inspire the next generation and show them how #teamwork and #technology keep our skies safe every day. 🤝     Thank you to all students for their curiosity and positive energy, and to our colleagues who made this experience valuable! 🙌     #skeyes #YOUCAActionDay #YouthForChange #Aviation

Today, our CEO Johan Decuyper had the pleasure of welcoming Walloon Minister for Energy, the Air-Climate Plan, Housing, and Airports Cécile Neven for an official visit at skeyes. ✅The visit began with a behind-the-scenes tour of the control #tower and the #CANAC2 air traffic control centre, where our teams ensure the safe and efficient management of Belgian airspace 24/7. 🖥️The Minister also discovered our Digital Tower Center (#DiTo) prototype: a technological #innovation that will soon enable the remote management of Brussels South Charleroi Airport and Liege Airport from a single location in #Namur.  📌With DiTo, skeyes continues to innovate alongside its #partners, upholding the highest standards of #safety and reliability for all #airspace users. Yesterday, our CEO Johan Decuyper and the members of the executive committee skeyes welcomed Minister of Mobility Jean-Luc Crucke for an official visit. ✈️    The minister received a briefing on the performances of skeyes, followed by a visit to the control tower and the #CANAC2 air traffic control centre, responsible for overflying traffic, where he gained insight into the operational workings of #airtrafficmanagement. 🌐    🌍 skeyes is considered a leading player in Europe, with a strong reputation for punctuality and #safety in air traffic control.     The visit focused on the future of #aviation.
